“Stay here when visiting Copenhagen”

Very nice and friendly staff. Unique hotel with great interior. Good location close to the city center but still secluded. Don't miss having dinner on the boat next door - Viva. Note that you won't get a typical hotel breakfast but a small selection of bread, fruits, yoghurt to pick from - but if you have allergies they will make sure you get something you can eat.

i highly recommend this accommodation - comfy room, fantastic river views. one thing i overlooked was that the owners are only on site up to 6pm - i turned up at 8:30pm to a closed up building in a quiet waterfont area. Make sure you have a working phone on you if you're turning up at night...i loved the location away from the city centre, theres some good restaurants in the christensven area and its a nice area to poke around and watch locals going about their business. If you're only in Copenhagen for one day of sightseeing this may not be an ideal location however its quick and easy to get into the town centre, central railway station and tourist attractions by walking or catching the local buses. agree with the comments re noise (i was midweek and its not a whisper quiet spot) and also being able bodies - dragging my bag up spiral stairs the same width of my bag took some effort as im not getting any younger! However these are minor quibbles and are offset by the location views and overall comfort of the rooms.

Service was good, owner was definitely helpful and nice -

One thing other reviews seldom mentioned is how noisy it can get on a Saturday. Besides the constant traffic noise due to the nearby highway, you also get some "techno rave party" boats with the music on full blast passing by. A ship/nightclub was stationed right in front of the hotel and could also be heard.

Neighbourhood was also a bit dodgy on the bankside.

We have just returned from three nights in Copenhagen and found this hotel to be a real gem. It is situated in a bohemien district called Christensven, approx 20 mins walk from the center of the main shopping district. The hotel was an oasis of calm on the waterfront.we loved the location, the quirky style of the hotel and its relaxed atmosphere. I could not fault anything about this place. The bed was very comfortable, sleek and very clean shower room (not much in the way of toiletries, so bring your own). The breakfast is a DIY buffet style with local rye breads, yoghurts, pastries etc, and can be eaten on the top deck with stunning views of the city and waterfront. I would like to suggest that is that a hook (and robe) would be useful in the bathroom to hang clothes and a real coffee machine would make this an even better place to be. It is relaxed, not stuffy or pretentoius, just a great place with friendly helpful staff and the setting is simply stunning.Thank you all for making us feel very welcome in your lovely city.

Room Tip: We had room 10, but I think all the rooms were similar in style.

We stayed on CPH Living for four nights late December. As a young couple we wanted to stay somewhere funky and a bit different. It's got bags of character but woudn't be suitable for anyone who isn't able on their feet due to the spiral stairs to the upper for and slightly slippery outdoor floor areas.

We appreciated the free hot drinks and made use of the fridge. Breakfast was basic but good. The location was very good. . .it's midway between Christiana (the free town) and the centre of town/Tivoli amusement park etc.

Staff were around during the day but did not really mingle with us.

The room wasn't spotless and the bathroom had clear windows for some reason. . .slightly ruining some of the romance. The views over the water were beautiful.

This is a beautiful hotel in a great, central location! We spent a glorious honeymoon in Copenhagen and this hotel was the icing on the cake! The rooms are stylishly furnished and comfortably sized. The large windows in the room look out on the water and it was just lovely to be able to wake up and gaze onto the water and watch the boats float and seagulls fly past. With a window straight onto the harbour, the rainhead shower allows you to look at the water while you shower, an interesting sensation! The breakfast is basic but serviceable and certainly set us up for the day. The staff are friendly and wonderfully willing to help. Morten, one of the managers, was able to rescue our wallet with our credit card that somehow managed to get underneath the furniture unit. He came straight from a dentist appointment in Malmo armed with a screwdriver and in less than 7 minutes we had our wallet back! Disaster averted! We would recommend this hotel to anyone considering a holiday in Copenhagen and will definitely be returning as soon as we can!

This is a smashing place. My partner and I was staying here for a long weekend, and I chose the place for several reasons. First of all, it's a boat! Secondly, it has only got 12 rooms. You are not one of many here. Thirdly, it's got massive windows. It is rare to find (affordable) hotel rooms with floor to ceiling and wall to wall windows and a fantastic view. Downside to the big windows is that it can get very hot when the sun's shining and many of the passing boating people sailed close by to have a look.
On top of it all there is the roof terrace, complete with hammock, sun loungers and various other seating arrangements. There are even blankets should you feel a bit chilly!
They offer a decent - and typical Danish - breakfast with rolls and rye bread, cheeses, jam youghurt etc. There is not a massive selection, but if you like me are addicted to danish breakfast rolls and soft cheese you'll be fine.. and the quality is good.
As mentioned by others, there is a communal fridge where you can put your necessities. The nearest decently sized supermarket is only 7 min's leisurely stroll away (yes, I timed it) by Chritianshavn Metro Station. You will know where it is if you take the Metro (line M2) from Copenhagen Airport.
Staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome in a very relaxed way but in no way intrusive. They'll help if you ask but otherwise lets you get on with your stay without interfering.

I would definitively recommend Cph Living to anyone who appreciates a laid back atmosphere where you are a part of the hotel. If you are high maintenance and prefer staff waiting on you then go somewhere else, this is not for you. But I will be back :)

Room Tip: There are 12 rooms, 6 on each floor (ground and first). All the rooms are the same.
