“Clean and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

I thought the rooms were big enough, and I enjoyed the bathroom design. The location was close to the central train station and walkable from most major sites. The only inconvenience is that the hotel lacks ice machines.

Stayed here for two nights. Easy check-in and check-out. Friendly service at reception. Hotel is close to Copenhagen central train station (5-7 minute walk). Free wi-fi. Modern, basic and clean rooms good for a short stay.

the service was great, all english speaking. there is a common room on the main floor which is fun for meeting new people or hanging out. it is steps from the train station and tivoli park and a nice walk to the downtown area. it was clean, the bed was comfortable, and i would go back 100%!

Great hotel, great location, can walk here from the central station in 5-7 minutes. In fact on the train to the city centre from the airport, I saw the hotel with the big 'Wake up Copenhagen' logo on the side so it was easy to find coming out of the station.
Rooms are small but very clean and functional. In fact, very modern, all glass and chrome. TV with some English channels, air con and a lovely glass bathroom! Would definitely stay here again, I believe there are 'Wake Up' hotels in other cities, so choose it if there was one in a city I was visiting.

Minimalist and ultra modern hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable location close to the train station and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of traffic. Room was nice and clean and the Wifi connection seemed reasonable. I would stay here again.

Pros:
- Generally friendly staff. All speak fluent English, if you don't speak Danish.
- Extremely clean rooms, lobby and lounge.
- Rooms are attractive, with an ultra-modern design (the shower is perhaps too ultra-modern - the cylindrical glass doors are a cool idea but in practice a curtain would have been more useful).
- Offers bike rental. The rental bike that I got was a little mangy, but the rate was reasonable (120DKK per day).
- Fast WiFi in the rooms.
- Comfortable bed, climate control.
- Breakfast buffet (60DKK) was nice, though the food was exactly the same every day - yogurt, rolls, some charcuterie, pears and apples.
- Good location. Quiet, reasonably close to downtown attractions. Walking distance to national museum, Glyptotek, Tivoli, etc. My room faced the railway (not the best view) but the windows are well-soundproofed and all I heard was the occasional squeal of the wheels.

Cons
- Not much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. No restaurant or convenience store. Front desk offers limited snacks. No vending machines that I could find.
- No in-room phones or public phones. My cell phone was not working and I needed to contact my airline. The front desk person invited me to use a payphone in the central train station, about ten minutes away by foot. Most people have cell phones, but it would be nice to have another option if your battery is dead or if you can't get service.
- No boarding pass printing. Again, the front desk person informed me that I could print my boarding pass at the airport; yes, obviously, but most frequent travelers prefer to print passes ahead of time. The hotel actually does allow boarding pass printing for a "service fee" of 50DKK (about $10) plus a per-page fee, which is funny because they will cheerfully use the same printer to print you a receipt for a pack of gum if you ask for it. I take it that the hotel management just doesn't want the minor expense and responsibility of maintaining a boarding pass printer.
- Like many European hotels they really mean it when they say 3PM checkin - I arrived early in the morning and had to upgrade my room in order to avoid a wait. They offer a baggage check in the basement, but if I recall correctly you have to pay for it (it wasn't much, maybe 20DKK).

Room Tip: The hotel offers several tiers of rooms - I would just go for the cheapest. I stayed in a "heav...

For a two-star hotel, not bad. Clean hotel and rooms. Note: you have to insert your keycard into this white box to turn the power on in the room. I like the shower however it is difficult to shave bc they is nowhere to put your legs on. The bed was comfy.

The bus stops are a block & half away, not bad. Felt safe walking in the area at night as a single woman & the police headquarters is up the street. Good location as it is very close to the train station.

Room Tip: Doesnt matter it is a clean facility.
