“Good hotel for a weekend break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

This hotel was satisfactory for our 3 night stay in Copenhagen. I wouldn't recommend stays any longer than 3 days as the bedroom was very small and might get on your nerves if you were there longer! It wouldn't be suitable for the less mobile as it's about a mile walk from the likes of Nyhavn (although the walk is all flat) but you could hire a bike and if you search in Google there is a bike hire place near the hotel. The room facilities were adequate and we had a separate seating area with a sofa, a dining table and a kitchenette with plates, cups, cutlery, washing up liquid and a microwave. The one thing that was lacking though, especially considering we were using the kitchenette was a BIN. We had one tiny bin in the bathroom which was very inadequate seen as we were cooking food in the microwave and eating in the room too! The bedroom was tiny with not much room to walk around the bed but for only 3 nights that was not really a problem. The breakfast was a good buffet with the usual cooked food and a waffle iron where they left mini jugs of waffle mixture for us to put in the waffle iron, there was also fruit, yogurt, cheese, ham, bread, cereals and juices - very nice. They also had a room safe, free wifi in rooms, a desk for a laptop with a cable, and a restaurant open for lunch and dinner and they offered room service.
Try and get the train from the airport (train station is near Tivoli) as the taxi from the airport to the hotel was only about 5 miles yet cost us 270 DKK! The walk from Tivoli to the hotel is about 10 minutes.

Descent apartment, but could have had better ventilated. Comfortable twin bed, sleeping couch, nice bathroom, lcd-tv, mini kitchen with microwave and cooler. The room was quite ok, but could been better cleaned. All in all it was ok, but not great.

We spent three nights in this hotel on arriving from a cruise. The suite style gave us lots of room as there were three us. We asked for early check-in and that was honored. Having a kitchenette was great, particularly since one of us was sick and was continually drinking tea. Within walking distance of Tivoli Gardens and the main train station and the Stroget. The only drawback was the third bed was the sofabed, which was a bit hard.

This hotel was clean and very convenient for walking in Copenhagen. It was about 4 blocks from all the central city action, including Tivoli, Radhus City Hall, and the walking tour of Copenhagen. The breakfast was great, but was not included in the room cost. The room we had for 3 people was actually two small rooms with twin beds in one and a fold out couch that was very uncomfortable in the other. There was a samll refrigerator and a microwave in the room. WiFi rececption in the room was not possible, so I had to go to the atrium or the lobby for connection. Overall a good experience

Dust bunnies everywhere,
Spider webs in EVERY CORNER,
Spiders were on the ceiling and drop to the desk while I was using laptop, terrible experiences,
My husband and I killed four spiders at one night,
Cleaners only set up beds, and changed towels, did not vacuum the floor,
Poor sound proofing between rooms,
Shower water flood all over the bathroom.

Room Tip: be ware that no stove and oven, only microwave and fridge.

Negative:
Dust bunnies everywhere
Spider webs in windows
Dark hairs in dish washing brush (don't want to know where they cleaned with it)
Cleaners didn't show up first day, even after reminding the receptionist.
Poor cleaning once they did come the second day.
2 towels for 4 people every day, also after reminding them
Squash court under room, 7 am to 11 pm = no sleep
Variable service at front desk, but generally poor. Several clueless staff.
Wobbly furniture
People smoking outside the window at all times
AC not really working
Poor sound proofing between rooms

Positive:
Good location wrt city, tivoli etc
Rooms are ok if cleaned
Fridge, water cooker, micro wave, utensils, plates etc

The bed wear was just old and gross, I am not going back to any first hotel anytime soon.

Good location with a fairly short walk into town / Central Station. The decor was somewhat worn and the lighting was a bit odd - the lights were sited a little strangely which meant that there were dark areas/corners just where you did not want them. The laundry had been flooded, so these facilities were not available - as a result, I can recommend the Laudromat Cafe on Elmegade - a fairly easy stroll from the hotel. Staff were helpful when they could be (although we found the Laudromat Cafe thanks to an app on the iphone rather than through local knowledge).
