“Fantastic food, great location, awful service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

We sat down, the waitress brought us a menu, she was friendly, then she disappeared.

While we waited, there was plenty of chance to enjoy the canal-side location, and soak in the atmosphere of the colourful historic buildings.

When food arrived, it was excellent; lots of flavour, nicely presented. We both had traditional Danish open sandwiches with herring and mackerel - great with a local beer.

But at the end of the meal, the same again: after asking for the bill for a fourth time, we went and stood by the bar until someone eventually took our money (and quite a lot of it for what we'd had). Not over-priced, but the sort of place I'd go as a treat.

“Great food but slow kitchen”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Went to Cap Horn with some business associates. On the plus side: really enjoyed the food overall (quality of the ingredients, presentations). The restaurant itself is well located on Nyhavn and the interior is nice and comfortable. On the minus side while the waitresses were very nice, the kitchen didn't seem to cope with the orders. It took nearly 45 min to get our entrees. While the waitress apologizes for the delay, they didn't offer any compensation for the wait.

“So good, we went back!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

This is a lovely little restaurant on the edge of the canal. The staff are friendly and efficient, which is a nice combination. We ate here twice during our stay in Copenhagen and the food was delicious. The menu is varied with fish, pasta and meat dishes, as well as a decent wine selection. Good value and good food; nice.

“Fantastic hot chocolate and great place to watch the world go by!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

A fantastic place to watch the world go by! The most amazing hot chocolate and we sat here for a while watching the world go by. Lovely to people watch as people wander up and down the street.

Good value and the service was excellent.

“Great food and better people watching”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

I had a wonderful lunch with my mom and daughter outside at Cap Horn. We shared some fantastic open face sandwiches. The street music and foot traffic was very enjoyable.
