“Really nice atmosphere, a bit expensive but worthy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

If you're looking for a modern danish kitchen in Copenhagen this is the right place to go! We ordered a Deer's Carpaccio (really good and tasty), then a "Christmas Danish Duck" (organic duck with orange, apple, prunes and red turnips) which was really good. We had an uncomfortable table but the restaurant is really nice inside. There's also a fireplace. We also ordered a "Ris a l'amande" and a Chocolate cake (both accompained with two glasses of Porto wine ;) ). At the end, the bill was a bit high (50€/person) but we ate very good!

“Danish Cuisine”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012 via mobile

We visited on a Sunday lunch time. The menu had a good choice. W were encouraged into the lunch plate. The shrimps were good but the other two components were not so good. The chicken could easily have been omitted. Others had the erring to start and were not disappointed. The aqua vit was worth ambling as was the local beer. On balance I would have had a different meal. The musicians did add to the ambience. W

“Fab traditional danish food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

We went here on a cold saturday night in November. It was busy and the open fire made us instantly feel as though we'd made the right decision to come to this restaurant. We found it in the guidebook and weren't sure if it would be over priced and over rated but we were not dissappointed. We wanted some more traditional danish food other than the hot dogs my boyfriend had become obssessed with furing our three day visit. All of the waiting staff were very knowledgable about the food they were serving and were very friendly. The food was very good. The portions were not enormous but we could fit in desert without feeling pogged at the end of the meal. I would definately recommend the plaice and the Vennison. The place was so relaxed we spent the entire evening chatting to the Sweedish couple on the next table, something I don't think we have ever done in the UK.

“Very deceiving”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Unlike our great experience same time last year, last Friday, our dinner turned out to be a lost of time and money. The six of us arrived at 8:30 PM as per our reservation. By 10:00, while most guests were leaving the place, we had not eaten yet despite numerous apologies from several different waitresses. When our plates finally arrived, they were all cold. Our beef filets weren't cooked as ordered and were cold, and the vegetables were all cold as well. One of us asked to take the filet and cook it some more, when it came back, it was cold again. There is no way this would qualify for more than a single star. Copenhagen has many, many restaurants, we will easily find other better than this.

Kathrine U, Manager at Cap Horn, responded to this review, November 6, 2012
Dear Jean L
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our restaurant – we truly appreciate the feedback we receive. We would like to be known for quality in our service as well as our food, which is why we are very sorry to hear, that we did not live up to your expectations, when you visited us this time.

We have taken your critique to heart and talked it through with our hostesses and chefs to make sure that no guests will have a similar experience in the future.
We hope that you will visit us again, so that we can show you that your experience last Friday was not of the standard we are known for.

Kind regards
Kathrine Ulrich, Restaurant Manager

“Great little find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

We were on a short break to Copenhagen and having just enjoyed an early Canal Tour we decided to head for coffee and warming up at Cap Horn and were glad we did. The outside looked inviting and the staff member we had was very friendly and helpful. We only asked for coffee but they still lit candles on our table and gave us full attention and the whole place was warm and inviting so we decided to taste the Danish Applie Pie as well - well worth it.

We didn't have enough nights of our stay to also include an evening meal here as well but as we hope to return to Copenhagen this will be one of the restaurants we visit. Well recommended.
