The Himalaya is placed in a quiet side street behind the Royal Theater.
It's a bit of a worn down place.
It's not the place for an inventive menu, but what they offer is really good and different from what you'll get in other places. The Tibet/Nepal recipes reminds a of the Indian kitchen. There is a very good selection for vegetarians as well.
Taste wise the food is excellent, but I could have wished for a little higher quality in the ingredients.
But for the very reasonable prices they have at Restaurant Himalaya, I think the value-for-money is really good.
Service is not a high point here.
I think dis-interested is the first word that comes to mind.
