“You get what you pay for - barely”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2012

My room was average size, but the bed tiny, even for a single bed, and extremely uncomfortable. I actually discovered that it is not a real bed, more like a couch. My back hurt for a week after sleeping 2 nights there. Also the room was on the ground floor, which meant that i had to have the blinds closed all day, unless i wanted every passer-by, to look in.
The bathroom is tiny, the shower microscopic. It is so small, that the shower curtain will stick to you whenever you use the shower. I stopped using the shower curtain the first day.
The breakfast is fine, a buffet, served in a very large, bright and comfortable room on first floor. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Location is very good.

Room Tip: Find somewhere else.

This a hostel. Nothing more. The rooms are extremely small and sucky. The beds are bad.

Room Tip: It's very cheap, but has a poor standard. Don't go here on a family holiday.

The rooms are really too small to turn around. Shower cabin is a triangle 2 feet by 2 feet. Door key sometimes does not work. Price performance is unfortunately poor. Location is all right. If you are lucky you can park your car. In room wi fi is good. Breakfast is really great.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor with street view should be asked for.

Stayed here 5 nights. The staff was so pleasant and helpful. We loved the breakfast which felt particularly royal having come from Paris... beautiful cold buffet laid out in a ballroom -- delicious breads, cold cuts, cheeses, even palaeg chokolade-- thins pieces of chocolate for your morning bread. Great location -- walk to torvet, walking street, train station, car rental, bus stops in front. Very clean. Only negative was sheets seems a little small for bed and came off easily. Good value for triple room. Get room off street since there was some late night action below.

I beleive it is now a part of Danish hotel chain called 'Cabin Inn' so the name has to be corrected. The Hotel looks recently renovated and location is very central. It is also cheap by Danish standards, around 75 euros for a single room plus 60DKK for breakfast. Breakfast room is spacey and feels like a former ballroom.
Unfortunately there is no more positive comments to add. The rooms are very basic. Doors look like bare particleboard. Smoking room I was assigned to was in all practice horrible: no sane person could have endured inside for more then 10 mins. The stench was overwhelming. Gather there was some mistake in choosing materials for renovation and the tobacco smell sort of accumulates and multiplies there... Managed to change the room to a very small but non-smoking one, thank God.
This was one hotel experience to forget as quickly as possible.

Sure, it's a budget hotel... but the tagline "Sleep Cheap in Luxury" is pushing it to the limit. Denmark is expensive, so in a way, it was value for money. But it was very very very basic. Clean (but shabby and tired)... beds very basic. Welcome not great (not desperately unusual for Denmark)... breakfast OK (but probably better value to get a buffet brunch elsewhere.

Next time I'd try the Scandic... it surely can't be worse... and it's rates off-peak are similar!
