Nice hotel, a little worn. Restaurant was slightly above average; breakfast buffet is very good. Adjacent to Legoland if that's what you're interested in.

Airport is very large for this very small town. Several restaurants are within walking distance.

Very friendly staff and very helpful..

It's not especially comfortable, but isn't in any way awful either. Good value if you can get a deal.

The Hotel is located at the theme park, which is very convenient. The staff at the desk is helpful and friendly, the hotel is extremely child friendly, and my autistic son was totally at ease. The hotel was wiling to store in the freezer and heat up his special dinners we brought with us, without any problem. The minors were: no air conditioning, very dirty bathrooms with black mouldy tiles, dust piles in the room, and staff at the restaurant that never seemed to smile.
Still, this was my second visit, because of the convenient location, and the fact that my child loves to be there!

I read some of the rather negative reviews and against my better judgment booked a stay of two nights anyway, because my son really, really wanted to go and of course, this was the most convenient place, albeit VERY expensive.
I can now confirm that the people who gave negative reviews were not being too harsh. Our room was quite dingy, shabby and worn and clearly in need of renovation and lots more cleaning. The bathroom tile grout was blackened in many places....nothing a bleach solution and a little muscle couldn't remove, if they tried.
Also, although this is supposedly a 4-star hotel, be forewarned that air conditioning is not available and we only got a small oscillating fan after we requested one.
On the positive side, the front desk staff was nice and friendly.
On the other hand, the dining room staff (at least our particular servers) could definitely use some service training. Also, I found the dinner buffet quite overpriced for what was offered and the replenishment of the food items was lacking.
The best thing about the Hotel LEGOland Billund is that it's so convenient to the theme park. The worse thing is that for the kind of money you're dropping, you could be be staying at a Four Seasons or Ritz elsewhere, and instead, you're getting a dumpy 0-star motel room. Been there now, done that, and don't recommend it.

We found the Hotel experience excellent sarting from the airport through check-in and during our stay.
The courtesy bus runs all day 'on demand' to or from the airport. Hotel staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, all staff both in the hotel and in legoland spoke very good english.
The room was neat, tidy and well kept. Lego gifts awaited the kids along with competition entry forms to do various things around the hotel and surprise, surprise make models with Lego bricks which seem to be every where around the hotel.
Only two slight downers, rooms were a little too warm at night and the swimming pool was a 5 minute walk but well worth it.
If you go to Legoland Denmark then stay in Hotel Legoland it makes the experience.
