We went into the restaurant, thinking that the price for the buffet was reasonable, expecting authentic Thai food. When the waiter asked us for our drink order, we felt that the drinks were overpriced. We decided not to order drinks, but the "boss" came to inform us that a drink order was necessary with the buffet. (One small soft drink accounts for 16% of the overall price). We felt it was not fair that we were pressured into ordering the drinks.
We decided to be magnanimous and put that behind us, and proceeded to help ourselves to the food. Thai food clearly did not take centre stage here, there was sushi, vietnamese wraps, salad bars, but extrememly limited variety of Thai food.
The rice was partially uncooked, the vietnamese wrap was plain revolting, with all sorts of raw vegetable tastes coming together to form a real nightmare. Sushi was crunchy (not supposed to be) and the fruit salad was pure fat.
Please, please, go and try Thai garden, so that you know what to avoid in the future.
