This place is in my hometown, i helped built rebuild it when it opened in 2000.
Some of it is okay, but the steaks are too pricy and not that good to be honest. Try the "bryggerben"
Its a brewery so try the beer while your there, its this place main asset, without it, this place would just be closed. they usally server 5-7 sorts of beer, comes in all shapes and sizes, Some of them have won awards and are all worth a try.
Stone floor, wood decor with copper pipes in the sealing. Not as warm as it could be, it fits perfect for a brewery, but the bear are not made at this location anymore, there is no bar/pub feel to it at all, no place to dance, just dining and tasting beer.
The decor clashes a bit with the purpose of the place, is it a brewery where you drink or a restaurant, its kind of balance.
Price and quality:
This used to be a mid to low budged place. Now its mid to high. The big problem here is that the quality of the food have not went up with the price, its still young kids in the kitchen doing the cocking, thats okay if you can eat for $20-25 per person, last time we were there in feb 2010 we paid $60 per person. No wine, just one small beer per person, steak and fries, water and a cup of tea afterwards.
With $60-65 prices per person its without any doubt too expensive, you can get a higher quality food made by real pro chiefs for less just a few miles away.
go by and try the beers, share a dish and be on your way.
