“Classy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

If you want comfort, class services and quality accomodation. It's a good price for quality. Walking distance for shopping, sea side restaurants, ferry terminal for a trip to Greek islands. It'll be my choice for Volos, without hesitation. Parking is a litle bit narrow. For a Mitsubishi Outlander was quite good, but for a bigger SUV, it's tricky.

Room Tip: Back side room was quiet, but even if you choose a front side one no noise problem if you keep the w...

now if you are in volos for business trip or for a night before taking the boat for the islands, this a perfect choice.
In front of the harbor (you have also a nice view on it), you are also near to the sea side street with the restaurants and cafe.
Nice clean rooms. Professional and polite personnel. Nice breakfast.

I stayed 2 days at Volos palace a few days ago and it was a very nice experience...the staff was very helpful and polite, the room and the bathroom were very comfortable, big and spotlessly clean. What impressed me the most was the great variety at breakfast. Everything was fresh with a touch of local products, too. The only thing I didn't like, was the old TV - sets. Ask for a room with a sea view if you go there. Volos Palace was a pleasant surprise for me, being there for the first time. Much better hotel than many 5 - star hotels in Greece I have visited in the past and one of the best hotels in the city of Volos. Highly reccomented.

Very nice hotel, walking distance to the center and to all restaurants, cafes.
Clean, big room, comfortable bed. Very big an nice bathroom, generally clean, but the glass door for the bath tub (that to stop the water going out) was broken and really really difficult to move. Was broken entirely after 1 use and could not move it without difficulty. Down, between the glass door and the bathtub was all rusty stripe all over the connection (disgusting and unacceptable for the 4+ hotel , one of the best of Volos)
Breakfast very good, many choices. BUT NO season fruits at all available - bad apples and oranges only available on the buffet menu - even the cheapest hotel at that time offered it. Here I had to ASK! Because I saw previously some of the guests ate watermelon, I asked and get a big portion without any problem. After that some of the guest were staring at my table, jealous to have the seasonal fruits also and as I saw asked for themselves also.

Room Tip: Asked for the city view - I paid it 10 euros less (For me there is now need to pay for the

we got the best rate using booking.com and payed 128 Euros with breakfast instead of 469 Euros without. Very close to the port, still I advise taxi otherwise you are wet, The suite has a nice balcony and 2 televisons, rooms can be separated by a door.

I stayed there two days with my wife and a young child (under two years old) in May 2011. I also had booked three rooms for our parents and cousins. Everyone was
very pleased with the hotel. The rooms were quite good with spacious bathrooms.
The hotel was clean, in front of a large park, with its own parking and elevators
in service. The breakfast was also sufficient and of good quality. There was also
a great place to sit and enjoy your coffee. Before booking I had read the bad reviews
here, which I find now exaggerated. I agree that the access to the parking can
trouble some drivers, a flat panel TV could exist as well as wifi and coffee facilities in
the rooms. The room prices could be also better but that's the case in Volos.
In any case, the standards of the Hotel were very high compared to
the other hotels in Volos, there are plenty parking places also in front of the hotel
and the staff was extremely friendly. Do not hesitate to ask during breakfast for
your favorite coffee instead of the typical served. All in all, a very good hotel.
