“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2014

We stayed at the Lalaria end of May/early June 2014. The hotel was clean and comfortable and albeit basic we had everything we needed.

The cleaners came in every day and we were given loads of clean towels daily. The pool/bar area was clean with plenty of sun beds.......however we were the only family in there during our first week! Not sure what it would be like during the height of the season.

We must say a big thank you to Savas the guy who ran the reception. He was very helpful and such a nice friendly man, in fact all the staff were really nice.

Even though no one else was in the hotel we were allocated a room on the 3rd floor which meant we had to climb 50 steps each day......by the end of the holiday we were just getting use to the climb! The gardens were kept beautiful and tidy also.

The hotel is in a good location although it's on a busy road. It was approximately 10 mins walk uphill into Skiathos town but again by the end of the holiday this became a short stroll. 5 mins walk from Megli Amos beach....I would say its in an ideal location.

The only downside was that the air con was not included in our holiday. We didn't know this and when I asked why the aircon wasn't working I was told we had to pay the Hotel 60 euros per week!

Overall a good hotel, with good attentive staff in a good location.....well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Choose one at the back as it's on a busy road

Its like coming home when we arrive to Lalaria Hotell. The service is the best you can get.
Nice bar to enjoy drinks day and night. Short to the Beach and to the city Skiathos.
We visit Lalaria Hotel every year,

Returned from Skiathos just a week ago. Booked the hotel through there own website. Stayed for two weeks, after a week couldn't wait to get home! Breakfast on the first few mornings was overseen by a sloppy "waiter" who was more interested in watching TV with a cigarette - even behind the counter! The first morning there were no eggs left breakfast starts at 8.30 & this was 9.00 the cabinet (not chilled) with cheese & ham in, was swarming with wasps - even ham eating ones! Luke warm coffee & continually fighting off wasps. Didn't see the waiter again after day 4 - thank goodness, supplies improved from then on. Website says TV in room - true, but no signal available because they haven't updated to digital. Not that we want to watch tv on holiday, but like to see the news whilst we're getting ready to go out of an evening. Bedding & towels changed frequently, one tip thou, if you want to take them a gift take a few bottles of Fabric conditioner!! Ouch those towels are ROUGH... I think the wash basin was cleaned once during our stay. No plug sockets where you need them. Luckily the hair dryer in the bathroom worked ok. The mirror is placed to low in the bedroom, when stood in front of it you can't see your face! We heard a smashing noise one evening, very startling - this was old tiles falling off the wall in what would of been the old kitchen, which now has an all in one unit with only a draining board for a work surface. Anyway Skiathos has lovely beaches & the town is lovely, loads of different tavernas. Not many trips to do apart from the "Mama Mia" trip to Skopolos don't know what they done before that film was made. We went on the Poseidon, don't bother. You're packed on there in unfixed taverna reject seating. It was more exciting watching the planes coming in to land. Don't think we'll return to Skiathos, we like to get out & about, it took less than a day to look around. We did have a jeep done a bit of off road exploring, very scenic on the other side of the island. There really is only one road, and frequent buses, so you don't really need to hire a car. You can walk into town, bit hairy thou along the road uphill & down, taxi home €5 there is an alternative walk but I think the hill is steeper, thou not so many motorbikes.

Our family (4 persons) were in Lalaria a week and we can recommend this hotel for all. Staff is very nice and ready to help you in all cases. Location is perfect, near by the beach and city center. Also supermarket and bus stop are close.

Stayed 14th to 21st June. Not our normal type of accommodation but fancied a change from the 5* all inclusive variety. Taxi from the airport 10 Euro direct to the door. If you take the bus transfer they drop you a little way up the road. Reception area spotless, receptionists Helen and ? (Sorry forgot your name) the most helpful and polite people you could ever wish to meet. We had room 305. Top floor facing sideways into countryside. Room was much better than we expected. Large, Very clean, Towels, Air dryer, TV, Aircon (60 Euros per week but well worth it), Small fully equipped kitchen with electric kettle. Bathroom clean, glass shower cubicle, Water always hot any time of day. Room very quiet. Pool area nice with sunbeds, Umbrellas, Table chairs and a shower. Water crystal clear and very refreshing. Pool bar superb. Bar man chatty and very good at his job. Food limited but very good. My wife stumbled on the way back from town one night and hurt her ankle. Following morning reception kindly moved us from top floor to bottom floor to help us.We were notified of a 7 hour delay on our return flight. They allowed us to keep our room with no charge and made a number of calls to the airport, Small planet airlines and Olympic holidays to confirm times etc. When ever we needed any thing be it info, Taxi, or just a chat every member of staff was very very help full. Wifi free and available in reception and pool area also worked perfectly in our second room. The room was cleaned ,tidied, new towels etc by the room fairy every day. Not once did she disturb us in our room. Beach 5 mins away with choice of restaurants bars etc. Town 5 euro in taxi booked from reception or 15 min walk. Hotel between bus stops 4 and 5. Overall the hotel was excellent on every level. It was our first time in Skiathos but it will not be our last and the Lalaria will be our choice of hotel.

This hotel might not be the greatest hotel yourever stay in. But it wont be the worse either. I stayed in june 2012 the location is brilliant for town beach for the town itself. Busstops right outside and supermarket right opposite that stays open til late.as for the hotel all the staff where lovely rooms kept very clean.and the swimming pool at the back was very good there was also a bar next to the swimming pool that made one of the pizzas we had ever tasted. Give this place a try i am sure you wont be disappointed. Duncan and the boys from horsham.

When staying in hotel Lalaria I felt incredibly comfortable, safe and it has a good value for money. The rooms are basic; bed, shower and wardrobe with a small kitchen unit, that we didn't use but still clean and tidy, fresh sheets everyday and a working aircon. pool is very nice and relaxing and the pizza sold in the bar is highly recommended, it was fantastic actually, possibly one of the best pizza's I've tasted. The Hotel is located in a great place, next to the town beach and a 5-10 minute walk from town, I recommend staying here if available. I didn't really talk to the owners but the bar man 'Mario' was fantastic.
