I have just returned from a weeks holiday on Alonnisos staying in the Ikion Hotel in Patitiri. The hotel is a short walk by steps from the harbour where the ferry lands but when arriving with bags it's best to get the taxi (5 euro). We booked the hotel directly and got a rate of 40 euro per room per night for two people without breakfast. Breakfast is available at the hotel. Don't worry though a short stroll and you are at the harbour front with really wonderful cafes serving breakfasts of Greek yoghurt ,fruit and nuts.... very very yummy !!
The hotel is exceptionally clean and the owner Joanna is friendly ,informative and speaks excellent English. Our room overlooked the sea and as it faced East the sunshine in the morning was wonderful.
The bedroom was small but had everything one needed, the fridge was a boon for water, we had air conditioning and a television, direct dial telephone and a safe.
The hotel also has studios and apartments available with all the same facilities.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the Ikion and plan to use it again.
