My husband and I had a 10 day stay in Stoupa and stayed in this hotel. Our room on the first floor had a sea view and we had some wonderful sunsets to enjoy early evening. The room was fine by Greek standards, not the most comfortable bed or efficient plumbing, but as expected. It was kept clean and there was enough storage space. The hotel was well run and the staff were helpful and efficient. The pool however was lovely and the real highspot of this hotel. Breakfast were monotonous and at times the bread took some swallowing! We stayed on a b & b basis, so continental breakfast was included. It is possible to pay more and for a relatively small sum have eggs or a cooked breakfast which breaks the monotony. Yotta the waitress was very nice but at time overworked and we had to wait a bit too long. We liked Stoupa, but we did think that the number of English visitors and residents means that it is losing its Greekness which is a shame. Kalogria beach was really nice and we spent many a happy hour there and snorkelling in the clear water. Never have we stayed in a Greek resort with such a choice of restaurants and apart from one night, we ate well and at reasonable prices.

Went with the wife and 2 kids , hotel nice and clean , , good pool , nice breafast but a bit slow and repetitive ( not buffet style) , staff friendly , very close to beach and walking nice. could get a bit bored after a week as its a fair coach ride on trips , good for relaxing do nothing holiday, walked the costal path to Ag Nik which was a nice little town. Fridge in room very handy and rooms recently refurbished. Stoupa is getting quite commercial compared with some greek places but still very nice

Kalamata airport is a farce - check in took 2 hours even with the reps doing their best to sort the airport out , and baggage handlers slow even by greek standards , so even though plane landed half hour early , and everyone was at the airport 2 and a half hours before scheduled take off , plane departed an hour late.

Stayed in the Lefktron Hotel in Stoupa in July 2005. Nice hotel with an great pool. Stoupa is a beautiful town with the mountains behind. It is also on a nice beach. Plenty of nice bars and restaurants and it has a wonderful feel in the evenings. Lively without being loud. No Discos or clubs which is great ! Food and local drinks are cheap wherever you go.
People very friendly

Take the room rate in the hotel and go down to the town for breakfast as it gets a bit repetitive otherwise and one lady to cater for everyone means quite a wait at busy times. Otherwise Hotel is clean, well maintained and very central. Excellent.

Katerina's, right on the beach, sells pretty much everything you could need.
