Although my wife has done the Greek Island thing several times before, I was a newcomer to this kind of thing, wanting to stay well away from the crowds and loud nightlife. Balos was the perfect place, and Princess Tia the perfect hotel.

All apartments have a sea view of one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, are clean and have a small balcony with table. The pool is well maintained with a bar, and the beach is literally right outside the front door.

The owners are friendly and will sort out anything you want, and the little village has a selection of great tavernas with great food. Try Stella's for a really authentic experience!

One last note; most of the apartments are booked through Cachet Travel (who charter direct flights there), although there were people staying independently.
