“Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

This museum is well worth a visit. Excellent displays and well documented. The skill in reconstructing the exhibits from just a few pieces is amazing. Although quite small we still spent a couple of hours viewing.

“Interesting little Museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

Spent an hour in this museum, if you like ancient ruins or Greek heritage then I advise you pay a visit. Lots of interesting little bits to see, plus it's free entry.

“Modern, clearly laid out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

A lovely collection of historical artefacts, grouped largely by purpose/form, and accompanied by clear descriptions. Clearly displayed in a large, new, purpose-built building.

“Money well spent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

This was well worth a visit and they will eventually have a recreation of the ancient town which will make it even better. The cabinets were well labelled and full of interesting relics.

“Good modern museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

They've clearly had a very good English-speaking archaeologist doing the labels and captions, (but some were black on purple which is not easy to read!) The place is well thought out, excellent value at 3 euros (compared with the 4 that they wanted to see the Tunnel of Evpalinos). Strongly recommended if you are on Samos.
