It was very quiet when we visited but the locals are very friendly. There is a huge restaurant in the middle of the square. A highly worthwhile stop.

“Medieval Olympoi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

One more medieval village in south Chios, smaller than Mesta but characteristic kind of fortified villages.
We liked walking in its narrow roads and greating old people sitting outside their houses.
Don't miss visiting the small but very nice cave of Olympoi near the village.

“Lovely medieval village.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

An mastic village overlooked by tourists that is more authentic than its better known counterpart Mesta. The village has been built in the style of a castle with maize-like arched alleyways and vaulted houses. It was very quiet when we visited but the locals are very friendly. There is a restaurant in the middle of the square. A highly worthwhile stop.
