Although the hotel isn't at the centre of the city, location is fairly well. There is a bus stop next to the hotel, so you get Aristotelous Square (the city centre) in 10 minutes by bus. there is a bus in every 5 minutes. According to the website of the hotel, there is a shuttle to take you to the city centre. But I hadnt seen it during my stay (2 days) at the hotel. Buffet breakfast is very good. The room is always clean. They changed towels everyday.

The biggest advantage of this hotel is its stuff! Only one word: CONGRATULATIONS!
Spacy, modern and clean rooms, excellent service, tasty food from the breakfast till the supper, very well organised meetings (I visited the hotel for bussiness meeting). The location is perfect: near to the center (3-4 euros by taxi or 10 minutes by bus, the bus station is outside the hotel) one minute from the national highway, just one minute from the nightlife of Thessaloniki (if you are interested) . Just perfect for business meetings in the lobby of the hotel. Highly recommended generally!

It is true that area where the hotel is situated is not a touristic one but the hotel is very good.
Our room (we had a double room + extra bed for child) was very big, modern and clean one. We had also a pleasant surpise when we found in room a free basket with fruits and tableware so we could served its.
The hotel has a big and free car parking.
The breakfast was adequate hor a 5 * Hotel.
The lady from Reception Desk was absolutly lovely ( a young woman with red hair) - a really profesionist !

If you pay for a 5-star room, you expect it to be so.
Well, the one we stayed during our last trip was more than a tiny 4-star hotel room rather than a 5-star.
A lot of furniture are inside the room, causing difficulties when you are moving in the room.
Another disadvantage is that it is not located near the city centre, so you will need transportation to go to the centre. In addition there are a few night clubs in the area that cause a lot of noise after 11 o'clock.
Finally, the breakfast buffet was rich enough but some of the dishes were empty before the time that the buffet was supposed to close and nobody filled them again.

This place is worth the room prices and i am releived i managed to book on a very short notice.
Disadvantage of Location is no big deal if you have a car and the place offers a wide possibility for arranging business meetings in the lobby area instead of fighting city traffic.Thessaloniki is a mess nowadays with plenty of road reconstruction works under way and terrible drivers discipline.Lyubo.November 2012

Upοn check in, we had an issue with our reservation. Let me note, that the problem (they couldn't find our reservation, despite the confirmation we received), came of the TA and not the hotel, as we have been told. The gentleman at the reception desk was helpful but not that friendly. We were impressed that he wasn't laughing - at all - and seemed really busy. He didn't provide me a registration card to fill it in, but was asking me my personal details orally in front of another couple something that made me feel a bit uncomfortable! With regards to the above delay, about half hour, I'd like to mention that we've been upgraded to a Business room, as an apology for the inconvenience caused! The room was just ok but very clean. Generally, not what we were expected from a 5* hotel. I trully need to express my doubts about the satellite TV that is mentioned on hotel's website. What we found instead, was a silver-old TV, that didn't get any channel on! Moreover, I assume that none of the rooms has a balcony (only windows), something that gives you the impression you are in a box :/ Last but not least, we haven't been offered any porter services upon check in or check out. Not any other facilities have been used, due to our great short stay. These small issues were our only disatisfaction and their absence could make our stay there, better. Nonetheless, it' s a nice place to accommodate you in town.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

I spent a week here with my family - my partner and my two children - at the end of October and beginning of November 2012.

The room was comfortable and of a good size, we could store all our things easily and keep them in order. The double bed was really big and comfortable, my older's single bed was a regular single bed but our baby got a cheap, foldable travel cot - a colourful plastic&fabric thing, stood in front of the mini bar and telly, blocking the way and in stark contrast to the otherwise quality and calm decor. I missed a full length mirror, the safe was tiny (good for cash but too small for two 13 inch laptops we had!) and the TV was a 21 inch bulky thing with most channels in Greek - perhaps a good thing with our little couch potato ;)

The bathroom was okay, but lacking the shower curtain as others have pointed out, so we were splashing all over but there were towels to wipe the floor and it wasn't a big problem. Perhaps in the summer the water dries on its own? I'm not sure. Also, the only things provided were shampoo that didn't seem to foam properly, small soap bars, a small plastic bag, a vanity kit (ear buds, cotton pads and a tiny nail file) and a shower cap - be sure to bring your own toothpaste, mouthwash, shower gel, sponge etc.!

I must say that the service and cleanliness were great - every night we slept in fresh sheets, perfectly white and smooth, the towels were changed daily and curtains arranged always in the same way. Also the dining area was pleasant and the reception space welcoming and with a lot of different seating to choose from.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the room didn't do a thing - we had to resort to opening the window in the evening. Be warned though, there is a sewage processing plant near by and you will be able to clearly tell in the evenings...

Our booking included breakfast - there was a wide selection, from yoghurt, milk and cereal, through fresh and canned fruit, to standard bread, cheese, salami, bacon, poached, fried and boiled eggs, tomatoes and fresh cucumber. There was also a cake section, including hot pastries and small muffins. On the bad side, you only get served a tiny cup of coffee (no good if you're used to mugs!), the ham was never of good quality and if you stay for longer, your interest in the food decreases every day.

The location is probably one of the biggest downsides of the hotel - with a derelict factory next door and a tyres reseller in the front it somehow doesn't fit. Also, on some of the mornings we were woken up by the machines working in the port.

We used public transport to move around. The hotel in between two bus stops, the nearest called "Sfagia" [sfah-ghee-ah]. It has no pavement so I struggled with the buggy but thankfully it's only a short distance. The 31 bus runs from the KTEL Makedonia through the city centre to just past the Archeological Museum, and the 40 runs from the north of the city, through KTEL Makedonia to the railway station (not sure which one as there are two but we didn't use either of them). There was also a small commercial space opposite the bus stop where you could use a cash machine (ATM) and get your tickets, making all the travelling fairly convenient, with frequent buses and a ride to the centre taking about 15 minutes. To be fair, even if there wasn't a kiosk there, you could still get your tickets on the bus with a 10c surcharge (just be sure you have exact money an the machines don't give change).

All in all, we were happy with the stay - with the kids, one exclusively breast-fed, I would hardly have the time to use spa, sauna, pool or anything else if the hotel had such facilities, and we had all we needed. On the other hand, the next time round I'll opt for something closer to the city centre so that I can nip in and out, instead of having to arrange all day trips. Also, if it wasn't for the substantial discount (booking with BA), I would never have paid the rates stated!

Room Tip: Don't expect a nice view from anywhere!
