“Wonderful views and food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

Its worth going to Mangio just for the views out over the sea, truly beautiful. Yet the food itself is also beautiful and served by very friendly staff. The seafood is fresh and cheap with big serving sizes and they also have a good range of wine to choose from, great sipping it just staring out to sea with the greek music in the background, excellent!

“Great Greek seaside seafood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant was highly recommended but was surprisingly easy to get a table on the second floor overlooking the sea. Greek music plays in the background and adds to the Thessanoliki atmosphere. This is not an old town Greek feel but rather a contemporary eatery with friendly staff.

Limited menu but the stuffed peppers, garlic bread, and mussels were fantastic. They also have a range of ouzo if you're interested in that. Few Greek beers grave the menu but all you need to do is ask and the staff will elaborate on availability. The menu is decidedly Greek and has many vegetable options to tempt the pallet.

Tourists abound bit that is to be expected when you're located by the boardwalk. The tourist trade actually helps since the staff are quite versed in English and helpful.

Prices are reasonable and the portions are just right, which means they are nowhere near American size. Overall a great meal with a fantastic view and reasonable price. Very surprised the restaurant wasn't busier, but that worked in my favour.

“Stunning Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013

On the waterfront at Thessaloniki - there are tables on the ground floor but also (and this is not obviously apparent - stairs at the back of the restaurant) on the first floor - lots of tables offer superb views of the Thematic Gulf.

A varied menu and good food, and lots of fresh fish on display on ice downstairs, Service is friendly and efficient.

Prices very reasonable considering this restaurant's prime site.

“Our best choice in Thessaloniki”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

From outside it seems to be a touristic restaurant, the kind of place you want to avoid if you are looking for something really Greek... however we gave this place a chance one night, and it worths!
We got a table for 2 on the upstairs terrace, harbour romantic view. Plates are big and very rich, but no exageration, the enough you need to be satisfied. Food is very good, if you like salads they have a huge variety, staff is nice and welcoming, service fast.
At the beginning they brought us a tomato sauce with bread and delicious Greek olives, and water. We ordered a portion of tzatziki, bread, a salad and the biggest squid I've ever seen filled with feta and tomato. All for the value price of 13 euro each!!!! Super advised! Address: Leof. Nikis 57

“Delicious food with suitable price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013 via mobile

Everything is fresh here. You need to try greek salad (actually turkish salad :) and home made wine. Deserts are also delicious.
