“Excellent food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

The Vergina hotel is a real cityhotel. No garden an no space around the place. Rooms are clean, but a bit small, especially the bathroom. The elevator is very small, difficult if you are with a lot of people. Actually, this hotel offers the basic needs, but it is a little bit dull.
What really strikes are the excellent diners and breakfasts. Really creative and tasty cooking!!

the staff did a great job. we stayed for ten days room with breakfast. the food was good with excellent joice. the lift had a mind of its own. the bathroom smelt terrible from drain in floor.electric socket in bedroom area loose and wires showing dangerous. the room needs updating in poor decorative condition.the happy and helpful staff made the stay bearable . This hotel in my opinion is not good value for money

Room Tip: higher floors less noise

I've visited this hotel two weeks ago...its near by the center but the area is noisy and very dusty. I have to say that ... It is not as nice as the pictures make it out to be, and hotels should be called to account for posting such misleading photos...it's a low budget hotel and it's too expensive for what they offer. Some of the employees are very polite but when we had to check out they forgot to give back our ID cards! That cause a big problem to us when we realized that till we got to the border...and we had to came back for our cards. We asked for compensation for this mistake but the answer was..''The boss is out of Greece we cant contact him, sorry we can't make a recompense for you, right now'' We were disappointed, if you aks me..just don't make the same mistake to go there!

Clean and tidy, a plentious selection on the buffet breakfast table, and a more than helpful hotel manager make this hotel enjoyable and value for money. Our room at the back, overlooking an alley gave quiet nights. With a 300 metre walk to the railway station, and on the bus route for the bus station it was an ideal location for travel to other interesting locations in Northern Greece. The street itself was rather bleek at night, but turned into a busy shopping and market street and in the mornings. The historical archealogical sights were in walking distance.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quiet

This hotel is rated as three stars, and it lives up to its status. There are no thrills and frills, and my vision is that we should not expect such things from such a hotel. I've found friendly and professional staff, large and clean rooms, free WiFi and a very good breakfast.
The neighbourhood is sort of a China town, but almost imperceptible if you remain on the main street. The works for the subway generate noise and dust, but keep a decent level and affect all the hotels in the area. There is a large parking in the basement, for 10 EUR a night, but you could park on the street for free.
The city centre is about 10 minutes walk, and the train station is just across the street.
Overall, we had a very good experience in this hotel.

I've rated this hotel as "poor" simply because its pictures are misleading. It is not as nice as the pictures make it out to be, and hotels should be called to account for posting such misleading photos. This hotel is old school, no frills, in a noisy, dusty, not-very-interesting location. It’s just a couple of blocks from the train station; a convenient place for a stay over, but not a place to hang around for very long.

Room Tip: As far from the street as possible is a good start, as it is located on a main street. The elevator...

Thin walls, not really nice rooms, and really too expensive for this level!

Polite crew, thats all... And on a main road, 4 ways to get downtown...

And there is not much to say besides that... Just leave it, no go, real no go!

Room Tip: Dont ask for bathntibe,u ll get a poor shower
