This is a good simple hotel with a fantastic location right on the beach. The rooms (we had a second floor sea view) are large with very comfortable beds (memory foam I think), good size balconies with table and chairs and handy thing for hanging wet cossies on. The shower room is tiny with the shower and toilet located in the "shower tray" but it has a shower curtain and actually works pretty well. Breakfast is okay - good bread (excellent toasted!), with basic ham and cheese and jam etc., but it is EXACTLY the same every day and becomes rather dull by day 3. We also had to constantly ask for the bread, cheese, ham, coffee to be topped up as they were often empty. We ate lunch once (having made the tiny trek from the beach) and this was very pleasant but at 20 euro was almost the cost of our evening meals, so we went to the bakery after that and spent 5 euro on pastries/rolls and ate in the garden of the hotel. The garden is small but with plenty of garden furniture and shade so is nice to escape to from the beach in the middle of the day. This is a nice place to stay, but it really is its location that makes it. One bugbear which we were only told of when our tickets arrived from Sunvil (I think this hotel is only available via Sunvil in UK) is that they charge 6 euros per day for two sunbeds and parasol. I have never paid sunbed charges when I have actually been staying in the hotel. I do think guests could show their key or something and then the lady collecting the money could simply charge non-guests. A small thing in the context of the whole cost of the holiday but a niggle.

Room Tip: Second floor sea view are very nice, although the view is obstructed somewhat by the palm trees (hen...

We were greeted by Nikos and his family, The hotel had a wonderful atmosphere, we had a slight problem but Nikos sorted it out quickly and efficiently, Everyone even Theodora and Mariana were so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were good so were the lunches and dinner ( at a small charge) if you felt you wanted to stay in the hotel
We hired a car for a couple of days which helped us visit other parts of the island, Location was very good close to shops and the harbour where there was a great selection of Tavernas. We also took the ferry which in itself was enjoyable. Thank you all at the Palm Trees hotel hope to see you again one day.

Room Tip: Rooms 14 and 15 on the second floor seemed to have the best views

Fantastic views - the garden - beach and sea an arms length away, fantastic family - home from home greeting - hard working and always smiling - family owned and ask what specials on the menu for lunch - made by Panni the mum - great cleaners and helpers Mariana and Theodora. The island is great if you can a hire a car - Kathisma beach on the West coast, can be flat calm or a number of waves - watch fantastic sunsets whilst having dinner and drinks at Minato - Porto Katski a lovely beach fantastic blue water but quite a drive to get to. Vasaliki best beach is at the far end - it is sandy and very safe for children flat and not deep for at least 100yds !! Great windsurfing and harbour for dinner. Best hotel is of course for us the Palm Trees but don't tell anyone!!! - recommended restaurants - Pinewood on the beach just up from Bel Air Hotel, Barrel first restaurant on right as you enter harbour side - may need to book, Ionian cheap and cheerful before Mama Mia's restaurant passed the ferry, Ola Kala (upside down George's !!) in Main Street on right before second entrance to Port, for a fantastic view looking down on Nidri and cheap dinner Demetrios Restaurant- a small taxi fare away - for that special occasion and a bit of linen table wear - car or taxi (10euro) The Seaside Restaurant on Geni - great staff and Costas the owner. Lost count the number of times we have been here to Palm Trees - and can't wait to return in June - we are great travellers for city breaks, skiing and the Caribbean etc but always come back to the Palm Trees. We just love it !!!!!

We were greeted by Dina, one of the owners (Nikos, her brother being the other) very warmly and she wanted to learn our names immediately and she has a fantastic memory for faces and names. The hotel itself was down a quiet lane off the main High Street, just yards from the sea, to which it has direct access. The room was very comfortable, newly refurbished and with a balcony with 180 degree sea views (but the palm trees get in the way of the full vista). The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in on a holiday! We had room 1 on the first floor and would recommend it. The hotel is a mere 5 minutes to the centre of town, 10 mins to the ferry - at a slow pace. Perfectly situated. We will stay again.

Room Tip: Any room in the hotel will be good. There are only 16! There is also an apartment block behind, bu...

Right on the narrow shingle beach this hotel is family run and has the best views as well as the most comfortable beds in the whole of Greece I am willing to bet.

Breakfast (which can be supplemented at extra cost) is a generous continental style with egg day on Wednesdays.

The hotel is conveniently located for the town and harbour with everything you need within 5 minutes walk.

A gem.

Room Tip: 2nd floor numbers 15, 16 & 17 have the very best views.

Lovely hotel with simple tasteful rooms with comfortable beds and pillows and fabulous views. The bathroom might be difficult for people with mobility problems. Hosts are genuine and helpful. Unfortunately the beach is narrow and stoney but the sea is clear and deep for swimming. Lovely garden with shade and seats. Highly recommended for singles and couples. Hotel is quiet at night but neighbouring hotel can have loud music.

Room Tip: as rooms are slightly different discuss bathrooms with hotel if you have mobility problems. 2nd floo...
