bacon arival were pleasantly pleased by the layout of resort. rooms small but modern and clean. Breakfast set the scene. The orange juice was squash and the cheapest type. coffee and tea very poor quality . Scrambled eggs tasted like the wartime powdered type and bacon fatty. Pool a good size and plenty of sunbeds however that was when we first encountered the wasps which appeared as soon as you lay down. HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS they swarmed over us when we lay down. chidren and adults were frequently stung and the responce to complaints was there all over the island! We met several elderly couples who were in tears due to their dissapointment about the lack of care they received. Never had such a horrible holiday.Equipment in fitness centre mostly broken.

Ok we went to Corfu as du to booking so late couldn't get to where i wanted, so wasn't sure what to expect. The transfer wasn't too bad 1 hour. The hotel was clean . the rooms were also clean maid service every day. ( i managed to break a glass on our room floor and on reporting to reception a maid was there in under 5 minutes!) The food was also of good quality though there was not much choice. But the thing that drove me mad was the WASPS i had read that there were some but i think infestation is an understatement.
You just could not relax as there was within soconds of you sitting down 2 or 3 hovering around you. Even at the beach the same thing. They set up traps around the edge but they were 50mm deep in dead wasps and no room for live ones it was inevetable that we would be stung and sure enough.......also mosquitos i have bites on my bites. The entertainment was poor but we didn't go for that anyway so it didnt bother us. The bar staff were friendly enough . I dont understand the comments about the "seat nazi" the guy was just trying to give everyone a table and stop it decending into chaos though he did (i admit) not look too happy about his work.
Anyway if they managed to get rid of the wasps (which sadly i think they have no intention and reading other reviews ,i dont know why they dont) Then i would recomend this as a peaceful holiday. But with the stinging and biting insect life i cant.

Just came back on 2nd Oct 2009 ( 52yrs 54yrs). When reading the reviews it said they had wasps, but they didn't say that there were more wasps than people and the were very hard to kill. they kept coming back with a vengeance. Nearly everyone that we spoke to were also bitten by mosquitoes. We must have had at least 30 bites between us.
Food was very repetitive. Breakfast was passable.If you liked pork and chicken cooked different ways then you were fine. You had that lunchtime and evening. Kids had fish fingers 6 days out of 7 and chicken nuggets on the 7th day.
Pool area was nicely set out, the wasps spoiled it though. Every time you had a drink or snack they were there. The pool was freezing cold and i mean cold.
Entertainment was the holiday reps, so i cant say no more about that.
Rooms were basic but nice. There were 2 of us and we had 2 single beds and bunk beds.
Loads of cats were wondering the complex, but to me they weren't a nuisance.
The beach was 2 minute walk, the sea was lovely and warm, so we spent most of our time there.
No nice promenade to walk along, so we were stuck in hotel on evening.

the weather and the scenery was exelent, the food only was ok but the staff where realy grumpy and un helpfull. It was realy hard to get drinks somtimes and the tipe of drinks u could get where limited. The wasps where ridiculas i was execting a few wasps but they where swaming especially at the bar near the pool wich was advertised as pool bar but was in fact a bar by the pool we got a fridge in our room (an empty one lol) and our air con just seemed to blow it didnt cool the room at all. There was a plate scewed over the air con controls to stop u turning it down baisically limiting it to a fan.the staff seemed really misrable they served us breakfast at 6:30 and the same staff are there at 23:00 and they where there the whole 7 days it was a shame to ask anything off them. We only got 6 nights accommodation we had to sleep on the couch in the reception the last night before our transfer.On the whole it was a really nice place the holiday was spoilt by poor management and gready cast cutting.
