Just came back from a week at the resort weather great. Took are son who is 2 yrs and he loved it great for the kids he didnt want to stay at the creche but loved playing on the bikes and slides they had on the complex. Spoke to other families whos kids loved the kids club so was a bit of a shame. Hotel rooms are spacious and has a fridge and cups and a kettle. We had a ground floor room which was very safe for our son to play out on. Had a briilant view of the cruise ships coming in everyday. Staff very friendly george on reception, sam the rep and andres the manager.
Food about average had better but there was always plenty of choice. Drinks were very good a self service for soft drinks and cocktails wer on the all inclusive which was great. vodka very nice! Beach is small but nice to have, pools could be made bigger due to all the grounds they have.
Trips are very expensive, we did the aqua land which was great and not too busy. we got the bus which was very very busy and got a taxi back for 20e but was worth it as it was very hot. Prices in aqua land are very expensive for food drinks etc so beware.
over all great hotel food and great for families would return in the future.

We stayed from 4th to 18th June and had a lovely time. Our daughter who is 6 loved the kids club and would have gone at least twice a day if we had let her, the kid team were brilliant. Gorgeous Greg and Flaimey Amy worked really hard and made sure we all had a laugh. I would say that the evening entertainment did become repetative as we stayed for 2 weeks and we saw 5 of the same shows the second week. Andreas in the restaurant is outrageously flirty but made you feel welcome along with his wicked smile. The food I felt was good, although not particularly hot, although be careful as the servers are! Not a great selection for the kids - this could be better as chips, pasta and bolognese does get a bit much. The rooms were so clean and the maid was in every day - really cheerful, but if you don't want waking up to early remember to put your 'do not disturb' on the door. The Aqua Park was a great excursion - not too far away and not too big like the ones in the spanish islands, fabulous for the kids. The Pirate excursion was great fun too but beware if you do both these trips you will do the glass bottom boat twice - which although amazing as they get the divers down - not really what you want to do twice. The hotel is set in the most amazing grounds which are looked after really well. I wouldn't bother with the beach though, lots of seaweed and jelly fish, and the beach is very narrow. Always plenty of sun beds to go around and they really discourage putting towels out. The pool isn't massive so might get a bit crowded in the height of summer.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with a screen otherwise the kids are in the same room as you.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2012

We stayed from 15th-22nd June and once again the whole family thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Last year we came and despite it being the 1st season as a Thompson resort it was excellent, this year not much had changed but that was fine as we knew what to expect and that was why we chose to come back rather than try another hotel/resort.
The transfer time from the airport is approx 20 mins on air conditioned buses meaning the kids were happy and the holiday started well with little stress, upon arrival we were met with a cold drink and a rep who had all info that is needed, check in was excellent and George at reception is a great guy, we were in the room and settled in no time.
The rooms are relatively basic with, in my opinion, comfy hardish beds, and a small tv with limited English channels, that was fine as if you want to watch tv then stay at home. The bathrooms are decent size with a shower over bath and we had hot high pressure water at all times. The rooms are spotless and special mention must go to the friendly cleaning staff especially Marianna who was friendly, super efficient and always happy. We didn't have a water view but we may well pay the extra £15 per day for sea views next time.
The grounds are absolutely stunning, there is a large grass area in which you can sit away from the majority of people and the views are exceptional with uninterrupted sea views over hills/mountains and further over to Corfu port with some very cool cruise ships coming and going.
There is a smaller kids pool and entertainment area then of course the main pool which a few reviews have said is too small, we certainly didn't find that and at no time during the holiday was the pool itself full, granted the seats at the side were nearly full but we always managed to sit/lounge even at peak times. There is an amphitheatre with constant entertainment as well as tennis court and footy pitch, then a path to the beach which we really loved again despite some mediocre reviews on here. The reason we loved it was because it was safe for kids with a shallow aspect stretching out at least 100 metres and beautiful clear, warm water. There are a few seaweed patches as you get out further, one with a nice pair of sunglasses nestled in them, I may well see if they are still there next year ;-D
The hotel itself is extremely clean and tidy with a little shop which sells gifts, papers, kids inflatables and some confectionary, there is a large bar area with a friendly bar man and a tv, seating area leading to the large restaurant.
Andreas and his staff were brilliant and friendly at all times despite obviously being very busy, in fact Andreas was ever present so the man deserves a holiday of his own! In our opinion the food was excellent with a huge variety and different themes each day. The breakfast is the weakest of the day but only because I'm fussy with my bacon. To be fair if that's the biggest gripe I can come up with then the hotel has done its job perfectly :-D The lunchtime menu by the pool is superb and the chicken, salads and utterly outstanding pizza always went down well, then the evening meals were once again varied and constantly being refilled. We had a party of 8 with age ranges from 6-45 and everybody was very happy & more than satisfied with the food.
Things to do, we didn't do a great deal outside of the hotel because the kids were happy with the Thompson entertainment staff and we were happy watching them be happy! The water polo got rather competitive though ;-D
We loved Corfu town, Theo's boat trip (we did that last year but it's highly recommended although not if your a bit dull, the man has a sense of humour that's for sure) and Aqualand was brilliant. You can save some money on admission by asking for a family ticket and we caught a taxi there which was €20 and 20 minutes away. Buses are regular and cheaper but we couldn't be bothered with the hassle.
That's pretty much it but overall it's hard to criticise, being overly picky I would mention the lack of good bacon and beer (I didn't like the local beer but the vodka was fine) but everything else was just exceptional and we will definitely come back again.
One last thing, the price did go up considerably from last years price so Thompson be careful not to do that again and put happy customers off by overpricing.
Excellent holiday, 9/10

Room Tip: All the rooms are good but as the view is so good it's a shame not to have sea views, pay extra...

not normally the type of holiday I would pick, but having a 1 and 4 year old, this turned out to be excellent for them and on reflection a fantastic holiday. the reps were amazingly good entertainment, the whole 'family resort' / 'all inclusive' was a great option for my family.

food good, service good, entertainment good. All round a good week. Greg (rep) was super!

recommend the Planters Punch!

Room Tip: with family get a family room with sea views - costs extra, but worth it

Myself, my husband and 4 year old daughter have just returned from a week at this Louis hotel. We flew from Edinburgh and the flight was only 3 hours 15 mins... the transfer time from the airport was only 15 minutes which was fantastic and the bus was airconditioned so nice and cool. On arrival, we got checked in and allocated our double room with sea view which we'd paid extra for (not much though) and worth every penny. Excellent room as it had a great view and was towards the quieter end of the hotel. Our airconditioning wasn't working in the room but the engineer fixed it within about 10 mins! Room was good, spacious with loads of storage and clean with a good sized bathroom - only disappointment was that our shower wasn't very good (although 2 other families we met said their showers were great so think we were just unlucky!). TV in the room wasn't good though but we didn't use it anyway. Maids were lovely, very friendly and put a large bottle of water in your room each day which was handy. The food was great - available from 7am to midnight and a varied choice for everyone - always something delicious on the menu and the deserts were lovely. As we had our 4 year old with us, we stayed at the kids pool each day which was lovely and gave us a good rest as she could be more independant there. There were large umbrellas at the kids pool which gave good shade if need be. Good park right beside the kids pool too which they all loved and a small softplay area along with a large airconditioned outhouse for the kids to play, colour in, paint etc. Location of the hotel is only 15 mins in the bus from Corfu Town or about 10 euros in a taxi - there's a couple of supermarkets near the hotel though which stock everything! The only reason I didn't give this hotel a 5 (excellent) was because of the entertainment at night - don't get me wrong, it was good and the entertainment reps were fab (especially the 'Cinderella' show on the Thursday night!). But the kids bit didn't start until 8.30pm, only lasted 30 mins then the bingo started (and everyone had to keep quiet during this) so any show that was on didnt start till 9.30pm... having a 4 year old, she was getting pretty knackered as the nights went on. If it wasn't for this, I would have given this hotel full marks as we had an amazing holiday, our daughter met some lovely wee friends and so did we. Staff were great, reps very helpful and good fun and the children all loved the kids clubs. There were also quiet areas during the night and day and the hotel had a beautiful outlook (you could even sit and watch the cruise ships coming in!). Take something for the mosquitos though. Would definitely recommend this hotel to any families - short flight, quick transfer, good food, good fun, just a great holiday :)

Room Tip: I would go for a room with a sea view - lovely views and seemed to be quieter too.

I've just returned after 2 weeks at the Louis Family Resort, we wanted accomodation that would suit my husband & I as we'd just got married and this was our honeymoon, but also for our 1 year old daughter and this suited us all. For a break down:
WEATHER - Amazing for the 2 weeks, every day was sunny & mid 30s
FOOD - Varied, fresh although after 2 weeks it did get a bit 'samey' but still excellent
DRINKS - Varied selection with lots of soft drinks, beer, alcoholic & non alcoholic cocktails
LOCATION - Bit out in the sticks, but the place has the most amazing views!
FACILITIES - Great pool, small beach - but very relaxing, small play area & soft play area
ROOM - Good size, we were based in the quiet part of the hotel over looking the sea with lots of sun on our balcony - we also had our room cleaned every day with fresh towels
STAFF - Majority of them very friendly particularly the waiters/restaurant manager & maid
KIDS - Ideal for all ages, but particularly for older children. We did leave our 1 year old in the Creche between 6pm - 9pm one night, this cost an additional 18 euros, but it was nice for us to have dinner and a few drinks in peace. Our daughter got a t-shirt for attending which was nice
ENTERTAINMENT - Lots going on in the day, we enjoyed the water aerobics, polo and the daily quiz. Evening entertainment for kids started at 8.30pm - 9.30pm and then entertainment for adults started.
Overall a fantastic holiday for us all, however if you want peace & quiet or you arn't child-orientated this is definetly not the place to go!

My wife and I along with our daughter, son in law and 2 grandchildren have just returned from a fantastic week staying at this hotel. Like previous reports we too were worried after reading earlier negative comments, we can only imagine that these people were dropped off at a different hotel. From the moment of arrival we were treated like one of the family by both the hotel and Thomson staff and although it is unfair to mention names we must mention Andreas in the restaurant who greeted everyone with such incredible ethusiasm and even remembered the people in our party when we arrived for dinner before our daughter. Christos who worked in both the beach bar and poolside bar made every trip to the bar enjoyable with his incredible sense of humour and Domitrius at the poolside bar who served me on the Tuesday evening and remembered our drinks when we next visited the amphitheatre on the Thursday, amazing considering the number of people staying there. We were lucky that we met John, Joy and family from Cheshire who were visititing for the TWELTH time and what they didnt know about the Hotel and surrounding area wasnt worth knowing. The food which was available from 7am to midnight was outstanding- well done chef and the team- with so much variety on offer. The bedrooms and hotel were spotless as all the cleaning staff could be seen from first thing in the morning and always greeted you with a welcoming "Kalee Maira" (including the cleaner from Glasgow) and the bottle of water left in our room each day was much appreciated. For anyone with a family this is an ideal holiday destination as there is none stop entertainment from early morning till late at night - having said this there were plenty of quiet areas if you didnt want to join in. Finally just 2 tips beware of the mosquitos as we received a fair number of bites and be careful when buying a morning newspaper from the hotel shop as they are all from the previous day and the current days papers do not arrive until the afternoon

Room Tip: A sea view is a must
