“Great location, Less than average rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2009

The anemona apartments are in a great location, a short walk to the beach and the main resort. Far away to be quiet, close enough to the action. When we arrived we were shown to apartment 42, This was very very small, the door to the bathroom would not close as the door did not fit the frame. The next morning we saw the rep and we were moved to an apartment on the second floor in the main block. This room was much bigger, but again the door had to be slammed shut. into the twisted frame. The general maintenance is very lacking, if it breaks it stays brocken. Lights were hanging of the wall, bulbs were blown an not replaced. The toilets took about 15 minutes to fill after being flushed. This was annoying during the night as you could here the adjacent rooms toilet filling.
The beds were very firm, but you soon get used to it. The bed linen was not changed for the full two weeks we were there, and the towels were only changed when I dumped them in the hallway after a week of use.
The plus side is the three women that are running the bar and resturaunt are great and work very hard to please you. There is nothing they would not do for you. The pool is great, with plenty of sunbeds to go around. All the other residents were very friendly and we all had a laugh.
The supermarkets are very expensive, but you can eat out at a very reasonable price. The average bill for a 3 course meal with drinks for two is 20 - 27 euro. A pint of local lager ranged from 1.5 euros to 4 euros, depending if you were being entertained at the time, although the prices seemed to change daily
Despite all of the above we still enjoyed our stay, and if the Anemona's buildings and rooms were maintained, and sheets and towels changed at least every three days the it would be a great place to stay.

Just returned from a lovely 2 week hoilday staying in the Anemona BUT - We deceided on this hoilday as it sounded like it was exactly what we were looking for for our first family hoilday with our 7 months old son. When we arrived it looked perfect not far from beach, town and a pool on site. On closer inspection the pool was green and had foam and scum floating on the top. When we called the rep he said he said he had visited the pool earlier in the day and it was fine (mmm) strange . First he told us there was a power cut and this was the problem , then he said the filter had broke and finally it was down to it being a hard water area. Unfortunatly this was a huge problem for us as we planned a relaxing break based around the pool - it was about 9 days into the holiday that the pool seem to look cleaner but we still felt like we did not want to risk our baby using the pool. Lucky we found a lovely pool in town at the 3 brothers hotel which was the pool we used for the 14 days. The apartment were clean , beds a little hard, our bedding was only changes after 7 days when we removed it ourselves and put in the hallway. The staff were all very friendly though. Did not actually see anyone at all eat in the bar. Would recommed KELLYS ICE CREAM PARLOUR just off the main street by the 3 brothers hotels great waffles and ice cream and reasonable prices. SEA BREEZE great value for money - Breakfast Full English 3.50 euros including drinks, 3 course evening meals from 6.00 to 9.00 euros staff amazing even brought our litlle baby a Helium balloon to entertain him one night. Oh yes must mention SAN REMO its a bright coloured Kebab shop on the main street 2.00 euros for a kebab and chips( and not the sort you need to be drunk to enjoy )!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and finally the beach nearest to the apartments is not that special and had sewage filtering into it .. We had a great holiday due to spending time as a family but would not return to Corfu

We found the anemona apartments to be of a good standard. Ours was a 2 bed apartment - very spacious with a good sized balcony . The pool area was lovely and plenty of sunbeds available. The staff could not have been more friendly. The location was great - only a short walk to the beach & the strip.
My only complaints were the beds were very firm and I didn't like the 'wet room' with no shower curtain/cubicle.
The weather was hot hot hot ! I would recommend a boat trip (we took the one from Palokastritsa to Paradise beach & BBQ) - don't book with the rep - try one of the number of travel places on the strip.
The beach seemed quite narrow and the shops were expensive for food (we were self catering) ie packet of crisps 1.40 Euro, 10 x teabags 1.10 Euro so take plenty of money - exchange rates were better in Corfu than at home
