We didn't swim in the pool as prefer the sea but it was a good size and looked inviting. Plenty of loungers and a shower poolside. We enjoyed an evening drink on our balcony with a view of the sunset.
I suspect things are winding down in late Sept as this accommodation was only part-occupied & this seems to explain the negatives: The pool bar was opening late (not useful for my breakfast!) and appear to be closing early. I rarely saw anyone serving. The wifi was switched off. Overall though, I would stay here again as the location was quiet and clean.
The fridge worked well. We didn't cook in the kitchen so can't comment (I only book self-catering accommodation in order to get a fridge!) I enjoyed the 15min walk to/from the beach but can imagine this would be awkward for the less mobile or if dealing with small children.
Strongly recommend paying for the aircon - we didn't bother & by the end of the week regretted it! The room got pretty hot without it. The mozzies put you off leaving the balcony doors open overnight, For some reason there were more and more mozzies by the end of the week and we were eaten alive while we slept. (First time I've been bitten on my eyelids!) Strongly recommend having anti-mozzie plug etc.
We were in Katelios for a week - there was plenty of choice of places to eat / drink. My favourite was Maria's (white painted, beach facing). The staff were really helpful and the food fresh and tasty. NB There are a couple of places for which you're offered discounts but we noticed their prices were higher to start with so the discount (which you often had to remind them to apply to the bill) brought things back to level with other venues.
Sea was great for swimming - very gentle slope, sandy bottom and lots of fish etc around the rocks if you like to snorkel.
