During june 2013 this taverna suddenly took the top ranking on TripAdvisor, so we decided that we had to check it out to see if we missed something the 3 last times we visited Parga.
Our conclusion is: We didn’t miss anything so far. The food were rather mediocre and the house wine under average. The white wine wasn’t chilled before serving.
For starters we had a spicy tzatziki and a grilled halloumi. The “spicy” consisted of dry chilli-flakes on the top of a normal tzatziki. The halloumi was dry and didn’t taste of much.
For main dish we had mixed soulaki and a mixed seafood plate. Not bad, but nothing special either. And for a place calling themselves a fish taverna, they should at least put a little more effort into the fish plate.
When we asked for the bill we just had a handwritten piece of paper with the total amount in euro but without a receipt number or any tax specification. Ironically this taverna was one of the most expensive places that we ate during this years travel in Greece.
