The first restaurant after you reach the castle so in a great spot to attract customers. We dedcided to try Andreas out after good reports and a high position on Trip Advisor.Unfortunately we were a little disappointed.
The restaurant has a good position overlooking Valtos Bay but only a few tables have this view as most look towards the side of the castle - not really a problem though.
We were shown to our table by a very friendly waiter who spoke excellent English and the service was exemplary throughout.
I had the deep fried courgettes for starters and they were certainly comparable to the same dish i had at some other restaurants in fact the potion was large - seven in total. My partner had the asparagus in roquefort sauce although she said the sauce was bland and there was too much of it.
For main course i had fillet steak in roquefort sauce and although the sauce was nice the steak was a little ropey - too much fat and grissle. My partner had the briam which she had no complaints about.
We had a litre of very nice rose and a bottle of fizzy water and the bill came to 38 Euros.
Extremely friendly staff, a very good price and nice wine - maybe some of the dishes were just an "off day" so will give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt as they did excel in other areas.
