“The perfect holiday location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

We have just got back from two weeks in Parga and we can’t recommend the Harmony Resort highly enough. The apartment was simple, clean and in an excellent location. What made Harmony special was the hospitality extended by George and Nori. We were made to feel so welcome. George and Nori are both musicians and we were fortunate enough to attend the music festival in Parga Harbour which George had organised. As some of the performers were staying at the Harmony resort, George also held an evening of Indian music by the pool at which Nori and some of the musicians from the festival played. Nori is a brilliant flautist and it was a magical evening which we felt very privileged to attend.
As for the accommodation itself, it had everything we needed. The chlorine free pool was excellent, and by late afternoon we had the pool to ourselves. There was a pleasant 15 minutes’ walk into Parga which had a good range of tavernas. We took a water taxi to Valtos Beach a couple of times during our stay – it’s a pleasant (though uphill walk) back into Parga from Valtos or you can get the water taxi back.
However, if you only take one excursion during your stay, go down to the harbour and take the water taxi across the bay and down the Acheron River (which in Greek mythology was known as the Styx). It’s a brilliant trip and the Acheron River is so beautiful. On the way back the boat actually goes into the caves (with inches to spare on either side) and then stops off at Lichnos Beach where you can stay for the remainder of the day and catch any water taxi back to Parga. Lichnos beach is OK but not as pleasant as Valtos. The cost of this trip was only €12 per person and worth it at twice the price.
There are many excellent tavernas in Parga including Yannis (only five minutes from Harmony down the road into Parga), Zorba’s and Kyma (opposite the pier) though our favourite meal was at Stakis taverna which is up near the castle (past the Romantica which is also very good). The walk up to the castle is worth the climb and the views over Parga are fabulous. There is also a very pleasant café inside the castle itself.
We loved Parga and will go back, and when we do, we would not dream of staying anywhere other than the Harmony Resort.

We have just returned from a two week holiday at the harmony, and we were greeted to a
Home made glass of lemonade when we arived,
We were in room 11 which over looked the front with views of the parga bay the castle and mountains, fantastic!
The room was spotless with kettle toaster two burner cooker, everything you need and more,
The pool was lovely too, very clean and you got it to yourself most of the time,
We had salad for lunch which were lovely with bread oil and a cold mythos which was only €6,which we shared,
George and his family were lovely and made you feel at home, and nothing to much trouble,
We loved the walk to parga town and the restaurants are fantastic we LOVED BACCHOS,at first there was a man At the front who would try to get you in,but it did put me off at first! but once you try it you won't eat anywhere else! And you could do with a longer walk home as we were always so stuffed!
And for the best cakes try Il Dolcetto and ask for the orange pie, we could not see it and the owner made one for us for the next night Heaven on a plate!!
All in all a wonderfully place to go, everyone is so lovely and we will be back in September for one week as it will take me till then to get the weight off as the food was fantastic!
Enjoy it !

Back from our second visit to Harmony this year (1st - 8th September). Wonderful and relaxing as expected.
We were welcomed back like old friends!
We booked independantly this time and hired a car for the transfers and to generally get around ... this was a great addition to our holiday allowing us to explore a little further. Harmony has free parking and there is additional parking next door if this is ever full. We found no problems parking around Parga and surrounding places.

Would highly recommend Harmony. George and Nori offer a warm welcome to all.

Thank you again .. we will be back!!

Just returned from the Harmony Resort, Parga. Wonderful holiday, great accommodation run by lovely people - George and Nori. As others have stated nothing is too much trouble and the atmosphere is calm, relaxed and welcoming. Nori makes the nicest Greek salad in Parga – a lunchtime treat around the generously sized and beautifully maintained pool. It was our first trip to Parga for 14 years and it was as lovely as ever. Credit to the local restaurateurs for trying to keep prices down in the face of crippling austerity taxes. Great holiday in a stunning location. If you enjoy noisy, rowdy places please stay away - you'd hate it. This is a civilised and multi-national resort where everybody rubs along harmoniously. Restaurants are generally very good. We loved Perivolos - only a couple of minutes walk from Harmony – and '5 Senses' 50 yards further on at the Alpha Hotel. Generally though you won't be disappointed with the standards of food and service anywhere. Parga Castle has a lovely cafe bar which becomes an atmospheric cocktail bar at night – worth the trek!
We will be back when funds permit, but thanks to George and Nori - you are genuinely good people - maybe we could return your hospitality in the Isle of Man one day.

We have just got back from our holiday at the Harmony resort, Parga. Much has already been said about this wonderful place and I would just like to add my praise. George and Nori are lovely people , they did a special "music night" while we were there. There is a kettle, plenty of cutlery and crockery and a proper toaster , all of which can be quite rare in Greece. The pool is totally chlorine free and peaceful. This was our 7th year in Parga and this is the nicest accommodation we have stayed in. Although the walk into town was a bit further than usual ( and seemed even further coming back ) we will definitely be back next year

George, Nori and Visillis are all very welcoming and friendly and we felt like old friends returning to visit on this our second stay.

Reading all the other reviews, which are exceptional, there is not much to add.

We really enjoyed the music of Nick and the Backbone, they were brilliant and made for a very memorable evening by the pool.

We can't rate the friendliness, welcome, service and overall ambience of Harmony highly enough. Keep up the good work team!

Just back from Harmony Resort last week. We had a brilliantly relaxing 2 weeks there. It was our first time to Parga and to Harmony Resort, and what a wonderful surprise it was! We are a middle-aged couple and it was just the relaxing holiday we needed. George the owner and his wife Nori greeted us with a very welcomed cold glass of lemonade with ice. Our room was lovely, very spacious and the balcony had a fabulous view of the tree cover hills and a see view. The pool was to die for…so clean and warm and with sun loungers and umbrellas. (July… It was hot, hot, hot, during the two weeks and it was just great to go inside and sit in the cool welcoming front reception area for a little respite from the sun, where we also enjoyed Nori’s Greek Salads for lunch + toasties. We also found a nice bar to eat at the Adams Hotel..the Edam bar. Good prices and ‘great food’. If you go out the back way past the pool at Harmony Resort, then turn ‘right’ and follow the road up to the main road, about 4 mins walk. Then turn right and cross the main, it’s just a couple of min to get to Edam. They also do ‘take aways’ if you didn’t fancy going out in the evening. 30 mins wait though.

George, Nori and Visillis were all so friendly and helpful, and Christina the room maid did a great job keeping our rooms clean and with several sheet and towel changes during our stay.

Parga town was very pretty. The town beach was quite crowded especially at the weekends, but fun, and easy access to a delicious Giros, cold bear and ice cream. The sun lounger and umbrella was 10Euros We took the water taxi round to Voltos beach, which only takes about 8 to 10 mins. Voltos beach is large with lots of sun beds and brollies at 8Euros, with a great Taverna with good reasonably priced food…large portions. We could have shared one meal.

We went to a couple of nearby Tavernas. One of my favourites was just past the petrol station on the main road into parga. He’s called Don and the food was delicious and reasonable prices. I loved the apple pie and ice cream…nothing like ours at home.

We usually go to Skiathos or Thassos, but would definitely book to go to Harmony Resort again, hopefully next year 
