just returned from this hotel after a 2 week holiday, and think most of the reviews say it all, really enjoyed it, had a superior room which was large clean and spacious, lovely decor probably the nicest room i have stayed in, with the most amazing view of the sea to wake up to each morning, fresh towels brought twice a day and chocs left on your pillow at night. air conditioning worked well in fact i was a little cool in the night and turned it off, all staff very nice hardworking and helpful, wish they had double beds though didnt know you could ask for a mattress topper to be placed on bed, and didnt know about the get together table for singles, pool area was lovely and always got a sunbed no matter what time you went down tended to go out during the day and sunbathe later in the day as it was too hot to stay all day, lovely to have the sea so near as well although was stoney you needed beach shoes which you could buy in the hotel shop for 7 euros, and also the sea did get deep quickly. had a couple of lovely baguettes at the pool bar, food was good in the restaurants had the same table every night which was a good idea as it was more civilised, on our first night they couldnt get us an outside table but said we would get one the second night and sure enough they did, food was good and varied bread absolutely lovely varied and soft, there were a few flieson outside food but this would be hard to control, desserts gorgeous cakes to die for, entertainment was a bit hit and miss but better than nothing celine dion tribute excellent, felt a bit sorry for some acts thought if audience had participated more it would have helped some just sat there stoney faced, suppose its difficult with so many nationalities and there were a lot a good mix of ages from young couples to older to families italian german french austrian american and canadian english were certainly not the majority. the entertainment team looked after the children very well and did a mini disco each night and that was the best entertainment, they also did a programme of events during the day for adults always something to do if you wanted, the buses outside the hotel took you to rhodes town every 20 mins for 2 euros each way and across the road to lindos for 3.80 or faliraki for 1. although so close to faliraki had no impact whatsoever we went there a couple of times during the day and were pleasantly surprised it wasnt so bad a few nice shops and a nice church, talked to an australian shop owner who had lived there for 17 years and she said it wasnt nearly as bad as people say, in rhodes town you can get a bus to anywhere or boat, we went on a catamaran to symi for 23 euros well worth it a beautiful place, rhodes town lovely and historic but gets very busy as lots of cruise ships coming in, shops selling lovely things not all your usual tourist things, jewellry shops every other shop not cheap but probably cheaper than england, tried a necklace on that was £5000 surprised that they were not under lock and key like in england, also fur coats and leather everywhere as well, we wanted to go to the light and sound show that was advertised in my guide book and said was a must and told you about the history of the invasion by the turks using light and music but the tourist information said that it hadnt been on since last october as it had been bought by a private company and they wouldnt let it open, but the rhodes municipality was hoping to buy it back. but rhodes is so lovely and historical , there was quite a bit of building work going on around hotel but heard no noise whatsoever surprised how under developed this area was they are building a sister hotel next door which should be open next year. i have stayed in lots of hilton hotels which possibly have the edge on the service aspect such as pulling your chair out for you and placing your napkin on your knee, but they are very overpriced and this hotel was very relaxed and organised with no lists of rules everywhere sometimes there was music from the beach bar as well as the main stage which was nice too, and if you walk round the headland to the left of the beach a bit of a trek in the heat there is a lovely cove which you paid 3 euros to have a sunbed all the locals go there the water was so clear and you could get a nice meal, no english there that we could see, very nice, all in all a wonderful time
