“A tourist trap”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

Old Town of Rhodes is definitely worth a visit - but stay away from restaurants here! Here is the sole tourist traps, where pull-in restuarant staff try to show you bad stack photos of food that don't resembles one bit of what they actually serve.

A tip is to visit the Medieval City during the day, so you will not have to walk in line throughout the city along with all the other tourists! Try to go a little out of the main streets, and you can actually find authentic Greek places - but they sure are hidden!

“Been before but still worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Although I've been here before there's always something new to find - steeped in history - the city walls are full of little streets - plenty of places to shop and eat/drink - one minute you can be in what seems like a castle ruin the next a bustling street.

“Worth a visit to soak up the atmosphere of an ancient City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Just a short walk from Rhodes Harbour you will find the ancient fortified city of Rhodes, The medieval feel and vibe of this fortressed town is unbelievable. The best way to enjoy this place is get lost and wander off the many small cobbled streets and stay away from the many bars and shops with the owners harrassing you, trying to get you in to spend your euros. You will need a good pair of comfortable shoes or sandals as walking around the cobbled streets in the baking heat is hard work. There are lots of tourist shops and bars in the main streets but if you want to find the best places to eat then go to the quieter streets where the locals eat and drink.

You can not visit Rhodes without experiencing this ancient place well worth a visit, don't forget to take your camera.
