“PARADISE ON EARTH”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

Everyone must see this beautifull place. Rocks fall into the sea,
lots of trees and water falls.
A fine restaurant with delicious food and salats, a view you can dream of, you can visit the springs and swimm in the blue water.

“Beautiful views and fabulous food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

We recently went to Kalithea, with our young baby, as part of our 10 days trip to Rhodes. We hadn't been there in 5 years and discovered that it has been completely revamped! The fountains are working and the building on the hill has been beautifully renovated with artwork/exhibitions inside (as well as the toilets) - it would be a beautiful place for a wedding reception! You have to pay an entrance fee but it's well worth the money.

The view from the beach (as the name Kailthea would suggest!) is stunning, with a placid sea, and it is also a very popular snorkelling and diving haven. There are huge and beautifully kept terraces where you can have drinks and food served at your table with good background music. We had a couple of fredo cappuccinos (divine!) and our lunch was one of the nicest we had during our stay! The Greek salad is really excellent! I would highly recommend going there for the day or even for a night out as it seems to be very lively in the evenings!

“Lovely place, great for snorkelling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

So good we went twice. The entrance fee is 3 euros per adult and if memory serves, about 3.5 euros each for the sunloungers and parasol.

There are sunloungers everywhere including the tiny beach but be warned - we were there when the sea was a bit rough and so the sunloungers were partially immersed but made for quick cooling down from the heat for the occupants.

There is a nice bar/cafe with comfortable seats although a little expensive but worth it just for the location. A shop is also available with souvenirs etc. plus snorkelling stuff if you haven't got a mask etc.

There is also a shower to wash off the salt and a changing room. Toilets are a bit of a hike if you're the other side of the cove.

The refub itself is amazing and has been carefully restored. Those of you that are war film fans - the ruined version was in the "Guns of Navarone" and "Escape to Athena". There is a gallery with before and after refurb pics and there is a place to get married. The whole place has been beautifully restored and you should definitely wander around before you leave.

The spring itself is nothing special but it is there.

The snorkelling is wonderful, some dive companies visit to do fun dives so it's definitely worth getting a snorkel and mask.

“Great secluded beach for snorkelling!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

Free carpark with a sandy incline down to a smallish beach. Sun loungers available on the sand, but the real attraction is the rocky beach for snorkelling! Just north of Faliraki.

“a superb place to swim and take a break to the seaside”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

after some years of restruction the whole place is wonderful, the municipal authority really had nice ideas and the restruction totally matches to the environment and the prices of the bar are reasonable. Good work!
