“Good basic choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2012

I stayed two nights here and it all went fine. Single room was small but clean and everything worked fine (including a/c). The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was surprisingly good. Terrace with a view of the port and other islands is good for relaxing. Location right by the port is very handy for the ferry, but a bit noisy late at night.

We stayed there two nights. Rooms are clean, bathroom too, TV, Air-Co, nice bad...Comfortable enough. Two types of rooms, those that do not have a private balcony but a large terrace in front...This is very nice, you have enough tables for all the rooms, and it is usually calm so it is like you have your own private terrace with a magnificent sea view...Or you can have your own small private balcony...Breakfast is included in the price and modest but enough...The only down size is the road passing just in front but as you are in a little island, there is not much traffic. Well in overall, Romantzo is a nice place, would recommend it.

This hotel is clean, very well priced and well managed. I paid €20 per night for bed and breakfast. The owners were decent people and the breakfast looked and tasted good. This is a 2* hotel that offers a fair deal for your money. The overall look and feel is very good. I would stay here again without hesitation.

I chose initially the hotel because it was near the port and with ships departing 7 AM it matters. Then I discovered how good room it was , with balcony , sea view , renovated ,minimalistic but eficient and even free WI-FI .Well, when signal is around. Easy to go for my excurtion and far from the lovely but claoustrophobic old city. I go again!!

Room Tip: Room with sea view. beware of mosquitos

I can only confirm what the other reviewers have said - €25 (incl breakfast - May 2012) and great location overlooking the port, you wont find better. Our 2nd floor room (No 19) was small but opened out onto a huge shared verandah with tables, umbrellas, and clothes drying racks. It also had a huge 32 inch flatscreen TV (BBC World available).

Perfectly situated next to the port and by the central road. Nice rooms with a perfect view and a veranda to relax. Basic but OK breakfast. The only drawback is that the rooms sometimes get hot but the aircondotion helps.

This is perfect for a night or two on Nisyros - a great base for exploring the volcano and rest of the island.

The hotel is literally right next to the port, has great views over the water, and is nicely decorated. No mod cons and the rooms aren't massive, but they still fit in an ensuite shower and toilet, tiny little kitchentte, tv, and a fan. Very clean, and very good value.
