Although we were moved from our original choice of apartment by our tour operator and we were none pleased because of the location of Mammis we have to say that we really enjoyed our stay,O.K it is a 25 minute stroll into the village but what a view along the way!but you can also get the bus, hire a bike or get a taxi.The place is lovely ,rooms very clean the ground,s ,pool and bar area well looked after and dont be scared of George he is a nice man who is proud of his property so if someone messe ,s with it he will get a bit upset would not you?

We had a fanasic 2 weeks stay at the Mamis Beach in may/june
the rooms were very clean,the pool was great and the bar had a very good atmosphere.Food was good especially the BBQ on the monday night. Nothing was too much trouble for George,Renatta and there staff so much so that our 7 year old daughter received a present from them on our last day.
Very genuine people if you treat them with respect then you receive the same in return.

Myself and my daughter spent a week at the Mammis Beach apartments in August 2008 - the apartments are very very basic, although clean on the whole, however our toilet/shower room continually smelt of urine, which I had to bleach every day! The pool area is very nice and quiet and the bar/restaurant is adequate. Kos is lovely and the 25 minute walk along the beach side into the main town of Kardamena was very pleasant, if not a bit long.
I have to say that if you stay on the right side of George, the owner - ie: have breakfast, lunch and dinner in his restaurant and only eat or drink his food around the pool then he's fine! If he takes a disliking to you for whatever reason, then you will soon know about it - and I don't think he quite gets who's serving who.
The main reason for me writing this is to warn anyone who's thinking of going to these apartments to be very careful with their bookings. Make sure you know when you're supposed to be arriving and when you're supposed to be leaving - because George double booked our room for the last night and so myself and my 16yr old daughter had to sleep around the pool for our last night. Our flight didn't leave until 7.20am on the 18th Aug, yet we were thrown out of our apartment at 4pm on the 27th August! Absolutely disgusting. Neither George or the holiday company did anything to help us and left two vulnerable females to sleep outside all night. this is the worst experience ever and totally ruined the fairly adequate holiday we were having up to that point! Just be warned! George is solely there to make money and he will have no remorse in double booking and chucking you out for more money!!!

Anyone reading this review should take my advice to not stay at this complex. It was horrible the first thing we saw when we walked in early morning after being dropped off by our transfer was an explicit adult movie on the big tv in the bar. We gave the bar men a shock as he wasnt expecting us leaving him quiet embarrased. It says that the appartments are all self catering with kitchenettes when all you really get is a saucepan and two portable stove tops, the kettle didnt work no microwave no oven no toaster nothing. We were left with dirty sheets towels and no toilet paper, it also says that the room is air conditioned this isnt a lie though you have to pay 30 euros to use it. If thats not enough to put you off george is he abused us 3 times for no reason at the first time because i asked for a frying pan, the 2nd time because i wouldn;t attend his bbq and the third because i told him the internet wasnt working he said it was mt fault and that i still had to pay for the time i had been using the computer. This was all by the third day of our week stay he then didnt even acknowledge we were there which was fine by us all we got was evil looks. If you dont eat or drink at his bar he will hate you. All the locals we spoke to said hes gone crazy and is not popular among the village. Please take my advice not to stay here because you will regret it it was HORRIBLE DONT STAY HERE
