We came here in the second half of July on the strength of the reviews on TripAdvisor, and we were not disappointed. The beaches are beautiful, the food is delicious, and the studios are spotless and extremely up to date. The location is wonderful - on a tiny bay, with the mountains rising up on both sides. While the beach and restaurant attract day trippers, by nightfall most people have left, and if you stay here, you often have the place to yourself in the evening. Aghios Nikolaos is a hamlet, not a village, and the other residents are mainly émigré Greeks returning home for the summer. At night, the only sounds are the waves and the kids playing football in the street below.
Above all, the Piperi family are wonderful hosts, kind and discreet. We spent eight days here without a car, and we didn't get bored for a moment. If you want to get away from it all, this is one of the places where that is still possible. Highly recommended
