“Best Gyros Ever!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

My wife and I we were quite hungry following a fairly long walk from the cruise ship port of Mykonos. Once we got to the edge of the village, it dawned on us that to avoid the touristy eateries, we needed to walk into the innards of town where we easily stumbled onto Spilia, a family-run café. We were able to peruse the menu left open on the window ledge and were quickly convinced that, as per our lunch theme for this cruise, this was the "sandwich and beer" place for us. She had a chicken and I, a pork gyros and both were loaded with grilled veggies. We were most happy with the conviviality of the lady running the place.

“Affordable and delicious”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

Spilia advertises that they serve only locally-grown produce and meat, and you can taste it! To be honest, the place is a hole-in-the-wall, and the service is a little gruff. But the food was very, very good, and it was amazingly inexpensive. It's worth seeking out in the back streets of Mykonos.

“Local cuisine, locally grown produce”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

After a big lunch in the old town on Mykonos we decided to try a local cafe not far from the main street. The food choices are photographed and numbered on an large overhead board in the cafe. The family run business also grows most of the produce. My husband had a pork kebab, thick chips and salad 8€ and i had a small bread plate size ham and cheese pizza for 4€. After our meal we were given a complementary glass of pomegranate juice. The service is friendly, fast and good.

“Good Simple Food amongst Top boutique shops”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2013

Wandered into this little family run diner. Very basic but promotes that all the ingredients are local. Good service and great value. They gave us a complimentary fresh pomegranate juice towards the end- a nice touch. This little place in in a Main Street /alley surrounded by luxury brand boutique shops such as Chopard and Luis Vuitton ! We just wanted a simple basic meal as we had a large late lunch, so this suited beautifully .

“Brilliant little Greek Take Away/Restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

Ate here twice, and what a great find! Lovely, friendly owner who takes a lot of pride in the home cooked Greek food that is on offer. We sampled the pork gyros, moussaka and meat balls. All v nice, and very reasonably priced. You can get a take away, or eat inside as there are a few tables. Not a place for a fancy, romantic meal, but a great stop off for a Greek snack!
