“Great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

This was our third time staying at this hotel which is situated on the edge of the old town. The rooms are spacious, very clean and have excellent air conditioning. Breakfast can be eaten inside or at tables in the area around the well maintained pool. The selection of items to choose from is very good and the hot food available is different each day. Staff at the hotel are friendly, welcoming and helpful. Returning guests are greeted as old friends. The outside coffee/bar area offers tasty snacks at very reasonable prices and the drinks are a very good price too -don't miss the 40% happy hour which make them even more of a bargain.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front of the hotel have wonderful views over the sea but some people may be disturbed b...

A last minute booking so I wasn't sure what to expect. On arrival I was given the option of a room with a sea view for the next day. Took the option although the room was smaller it was great to look out over the sunrise in the mornings. Room 612 is in the next door bit with just 3 rooms, the walls are thick so you don't hear your neighbours and the windows keep out the noise of the street at night. Not on the main thoroughfare but handy for the old town, Fortezza and beach. Would be a bit of a squeeze for 2 people. A fantastic choice for breakfast with great staff. Would highly recommend the hotel.

Great location at the start of the old town overlooking the sea, although 20 min walk to the glorious sandy beach (plenty of sun beds available)you can walk in the shade through the pretty old town, window shopping on your leisurely stroll (only feels like 5mins) or easily drive anywhere, the car park is close to the hotel.

Nice rooms well maintained with free air conditioning cleaned every day with towel and sheet changes as required by you ,by very happy friendly staff .

We didn't have a sea view opting for a very quiet room but with limited views (try to avoid rooms ending in 01 to 05 at the back of hotel unless you want quiet with poor views and opt for a sea view on upper levels) Lift in hotel is great but for fitness freaks there's a wide stairway,No I didn't use the stairs !!

Breakfast menu wide and varied, bacon, eggs, fruit, cereal, toast, beans, pizza, sausage, ham, cheese, yoghurt and more.

Pool is well maintained but a little on the small side although ideal for a cooling dip, sun beds are available but it would be a little cramped if everyone decided to stay,I estimate around 30ish beds but it could be more.

Fantastic location for visiting the town as its literally 1 minute away, there's no bustle of people around the hotel as its just off the tourist route with a lovely bar with inside and outside lounge and restaurants aplenty within throwing distance,we particularly enjoyed "Corrina's"about 5 minutes walk away. (Reviewing later)

Nico behind the bar was extremely helpful,as well as making an excellent Mojito he informed us of where and how to get to wherever we wanted.

A good well run hotel, pleasant staff, good location equalled a lovely stay,so thanks to the Ideon if you read this.

Room Tip: Sea view on 3rd floor or above

In a lovely location near the harbour and Old Town. Breakfast good and always plenty of tables available. Very clean hotel and good air con in room. Great bar and 40% happy hour every evening. Only downside is that the pool is small and not enough sun loungers. I would visit again.

Modern, efficient, clean hotel. 5 minutes walk you are in the heart of old town. good level quality/price. Thanks to an arrangement with a very close parking you can leave your car very close and free. Personnel very helpful. Would absolutely advise to ask for a room with sea view. We did not try the restaurant also because there is a large choice of typical tavernas and restaurants in the town. You don't need using car.

Room Tip: ask for a room with sea view

We have just returned from 10 days at this lovely hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were very good and serviced daily. We overlooked the sea and the biggish balcony was well used. Could maybe have done with a sun lounger. Lovely little pool around which we are breakfast. Breakfast was plentiful and loads of choice. Bread was delicious.
Great location very near to the Fortezza and the little cafe opposite with gorgeous looking waiters in white shirts!
The old town is full of little shops and great restaurants suiting all tastes. Would definitely go back to The Ideon.

Stayed here for two nights. This hotel is ideally located, close to the old town.
All the best sights are within walking distance. It has a lovely pool at the back and several happy hours, which is really good value for money. Breakfast was good, sit outside with nice view over the pool area. Only bad thing was that there is no wi-fi in rooms available, only at the lobby area.
This hotel is clean and quiet and ideally suited for middle age couples.

Room Tip: Try and get a room at the back of the hotel, higher than the 3 rd level, facing the swimming pool!
