“nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Just came back from trip to the monastery.the place is nice, especially the garden.Entrance fee is 2.5 euro per person. We drove from agia pelagia and the view of the sea and mountains is beautiful. If you drive you need to use google maps or car map as there are plenty of small villages and it's easy to get lost without map or sat nav.

“So beautiful and so calming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

I am very glad that this year we visited Moni Arcadi. The place is worth seeing at least for the beauty of surrounding mountains and the monastery itself.Unfortunately, we couldn't have a guide-tour but simply walking inside its walls was inspiring.

“A train ride”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

Went on this excursion with the little train from Rethymnon. Good value for money and very pleasant because of the "open air" experience. A comfortable ride through the beautiful country side with very friendly and informative staff. The monastery was a little busy with tourists, but an amazing place with a fascinating history, well told!
