The Triopetra moved from the fantastic beach location to the picturesque town of Rethymno. And I understand if many are disappointed wanting a beach and yoga on top of that. Here you have yoga. First and lasts. And some romantic views of the town (and a nice beach. We are here on the teacher training and must say that Kristina Ireland is a godsent yogini. A mother of three she is as far from Lulemon/Prana dressed skinny topmodel yogis as you can get. She is for real. A real human and the best teacher I have ever met ( and I travel all over the world, this is my 3:d TT). She is true in spirit and in heart. The training has a strong discipline and determination. So if you´re looking for a holiday - forget about it. This is yoga. True, raw, beautiful, soft and hard yoga straight from the heart. It transformed me during this week (and my friend), and my gratitude is beyond words. I have found a teacher that I longed to find for years. I will always come back here. When it comes to practicalitys: we live in a very clean beatiful room, 2 min from the shala just next to the old Fortezza. George (Kristinas husband) cookes fabulous food! Organic, local and delicious. We are never hungry. Although the training is hard, its great! I can truly recommend this place no matter if you want to learn real Ashtanga Yoga from a true dedicated teacher (and get enlighted!) or if you just want to get your butt in shape.
