“Very bad experience”

Where to start from???!!!! Hospitality is the relationship between the guest and the host, unfortunately there was no relationship at all. The service was very bad, impolite and in a way that we felt very uncomfortable. As a result we spent every day only few hours there, late at night in the hotel's veranda having drinks and we never tried their cuisine. To be honest there were 2 people kind with us, those that were running the hotel's canteen.
Apart from the hospitality, our room was horrible: they changed our towels only once (in 7days staying there) and the toilets' drainage needed to be fixed.
In addition we had an unexpected visitor... a cockroach, but this was not a big problem; I understand that all the area had that kind of problems. An issue arises when the service reacts showing no real attention and offered us an insectiside spray in order to help ourselves.
In the end, I would like to mention that there is a great +++, which is the cost. It was really cheap and we were prepared for not great facilities or other luxurious comforts. Nevertheless, I think that hospitality and housekeeping has nothing to do with paying a lot or not.
It is a pity for a hotel being placed in a wonderful area like this not to satisfy their customers.

We try to go to Crete every summer and we try to stay the longest at AGIOS PAVLOS hotel. First Crete is paradise but the South of the island is still very wild, peaceful and magical. Agios Pavlos Hotel is your main option for sleep and food. The owner and his family are incredible, everything feels like another time, a slow, fun, far away gateway time... I hope this hidden heaven does not develop too much, the beaches around are deserted and stunning, thumbs up for the fabulous welcome and the fabulous people, from the hotel and visiting the hotel. They have two buildings to stay at. The older one (closer to beach & restaurant) is been refreshed and is very nice, the new building, on top of the mountain is a bit of center but fantastic. Cant go wrong either way. Prices very decent, half on the north part of Crete.

We've stayed here quite a lot over the years and, having warned our friends in advance of the poor quality of the rooms, the six of us arrived to find them all beautifully refurbished. We couldn't have been happier - this place is now excellent value for money, good food and fabulous location.

7 of us visited here for my parents ruby wedding anniversary and it was beautiful. This hotel looks over a small bay, the sleeping dragon and there are amazing sunsets from it's bar and restaurant area. The rooms could do with updating and needed cleaning but a bargain for the location. A good restaurant too. It was coming to the end of the season but there was still a good choice on offer. Would revisit for the views, beach and restaurant. We stayed for one night. I dont think a long stay would be recommended due to the rooms but it did the job we needed it to very well.

Room Tip: The rooms 400m away from the hotel are apparently better but wouldn't want to walk back at night...

Stayed here for 2 nights. The surrounding scenery is very nice, overlooking a beach and the sea. The rooms were very basic and in need of better housekeeping/cleaning (dust bunnies under the beds, dirty drinking glasses, stained sheets).

Where this hotel wins bonus points, is in its restaurant. The food, which they claim is organic, is delicious.

The room price was very reasonable.

Agios Pavlos was the second stop in our trip after Vamos in the north and it was more than we ever dreamed of. Beautiful clean beaches, especially Trioptera, excellent food in the hotel's restaurant (loved the stuffed zucchini flowers!!!), very kind staff and very clean rooms. Great place to relax and enjoy the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

This hotel, Taverna, Bar and cafe is a little off the beaten track, but then again aren't all the best places to be found here?

Amazing views and we ended up staying all day and had dinner in he Taverna with some newly made friends fro Yogaplus nearby, which was cool,

Rally friendly place
