We arrived as a family of five adults and one toddler. First impressions fair, nice play area for the children. We sat in the 'conservatory' which is in need of a facelift, and a good clean. Drinks order taken fairly quickly. Menu appeared to be ok albeit a little expensive i.e. over ten pounds for burger and chips. We waited an hour and a half for our food with no apologies or explanations for the wait or any indication of any problems when the order was taken. The kitchen is visible from the garden with food spillages covering the floor and kitchen staff wearing hoodies and no whites, we should have left then! We raised our dissatisfaction when a very tired toddler was half asleep at the table. Meal arrived five minutes later. The food was below average with brown coloured lettuce and fairly tasteless. Consumed what we could within ten minutes. Raised our concerns when paying and had ten pounds knocked off the bill. This venue needs a good shake up, in the meantime drive past.

Thank you for your review. We strive at all times to give the best possible service to all our customers. We do get extremely busy during the summer holidays and unfortunately this can mean on rare occasions there is more of a wait on food. All our staff are trained to warm customers at the time of ordering if there is a wait on food, and if this didn't happen for your table then I can only apologise. Mistakes do sometimes happen when we are so busy but like I have said we do strive at all times, even when busy, to maintain all our standards. All our chefs wear whites when working. If anyone was seen not wearing whites then they were off duty. Thank you again for your comments, they have been discussed with staff and we will continue to train and improve standards wherever we can.
