We started out our vacation in Crete here and thought it was wonderful. It is close to the airport, in a quiet beautiful location. The room was beautiful as was the view. Our only complaint was that the bed was incredibly hard and not that comfortable.
We had supper one night at the Villa and the food was wonderful, and Babbis invited a friend of his to join us which made for a delightful evening. The wine flowed and the food was plentiful.
Breakfast was included with the price. I fell in love with Greek yogurt with honey, which they served every morning - very generous servings of it.
The location is central enough that you can travel by car to a number of locations and there is some wonderful hiking not too far away. You definitely require a car to stay here and its best for people who wish a quiet restful location.
My recommendation is to go here if you have a chance. It was a great find for a very reasonable price.
