“Very good Catch Great Location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

Very good central hotel in Heraklion.
The top floor restaurant for breakfast was great with beautiful views.

Tip: If you need to park in this busy city it could be hard and a lot of places want to charge you. I found parking at the bus terminal which is right beside for FREE!

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel facing the harbor. If you come by ferry, it is a 10 min walk to the hotel, if by flight, only 4 km. location is a big plus, Titus Square, the famous fountain, and shopping area just 5 min walk, the archeological museum also 5 min walk away. The bus station is equally near. There is a mini market nearby, and a number of restaurants within 5 min walk..the staff were friendly and helpful..helping to arrange suitable room and allowed early check in. When I complained that in our room there is no wifi access, she gave me a router, and it worked! The roof top breakfast restaurant has superb view.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view room!

The hotel is in the center overlooking the harbor. Staff is nice and helpful. The room is large but the bathtub and shower need fixing and refreshing. Rust around the taps, old tiles and overall looks old and not up to date. Breakfast buffet has good variety and the breakfast room has nice view. However, windows are closed and the cooking smell from the kitchen overpowers the air-conditioning and venting. Parking is impossible and you need to park in one of the nearby public parking. The streets are very narrow and it is hard to stop at the hotel entrance to unload the luggage without blocking the street. We parked and walked back. It is an ok solution for overnight stay on the way to the airport but not more than that.

Room Tip: ask for sea view corner room

What a surprise! Small but clean with a great location near the bus terminal and the center of town.
The breakfast on the roof was excellent and the view of the port was superb. The staff spoke English and were very helpful. Save your money and take the bus to the airport for about $2.50 (about 3 blocks from the hotel).

Room Tip: If you have a rolling suitcase, you can walk to the port.

The hotel is a few minutes from the airport. (not very good thing since you could hear airplanes flying during the day/night) Stuff always welcoming and helpful.
The room is simple and nice. Bathroom is in a very good condition and is provided with hygiene products etc.. I liked the balcony a lot with a view into the city's venetian harbour.
The location is great, with only few minutes away from the stores, squares etc...
Totally made my stay in crete better. Gonna stay there again.

Location good, just by the port for ferry access and a short taxi ride from the airport (though €18 for the pre booked journey seemed a bit expensive) Room had great view overlooking sea. Bed comfortable, bathroom clean with good shower pressure, efficient aircon. Comprehensive breakfast. Staff all speak good English and very helpful.

The lobby of the hotel is impressive but the room, while giving everything needed, seemed a bit tired. Furnishings need updating and the ancient tube type tv replacing. we booked through booking.com so obviously paid top whack at €180 for 2 nights. It wasn't really worth that, but maybe going direct to the hotel, that could be negotiated down.

Room Tip: Go for the view of the port
