“Not perfect but very good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2008

Our room was great with free air conditioning and free WIFI. Room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. The only problem was the fridge/freezer which began collect so much ice that we couldn't close the door! Staff took about 3 days to try to remedy this problem by telling us to defrost it and then by putting a towel in the fridge!

However, this did not really put us off as overall service was excellent and breakfast too, especially with that lovely view from the terrace!

Room was clean and comfortable. Neverthless sometimes a very bad smell came in the room...

The main interest of this hotel is that it is located very near to the center of Heraklion.

Basic breakfast with false orange juice but at the top floor with a nice view...

Staff is very nice and there is a car park at 5 minutes walk free for guests.

I was in Crete for business in last January. Stayed 5 days.
The first thing which is the best is breakfast and the view of the restaurant on 5th floor. Very helpful waiter&waitress and reception personnel. Thanks for everything! Hotel was vey clean but 1. day I find a hair in my bed. This was the first negative surprise for me.
The hotel is little far from the center but it was not a big problem for me.
Overall it was a good hotel. Not many complaints.

The hotel itself was lovely. We had a nice room and the restaurant upstairs was good. The problem with the hotel is that if you want to do anything in the city the hotel is so far that it is either a very long walk or you have to take a taxi. There are no restaurants close by, and the ones at the shore (about 10 minutes away walking) are expensive.
The room also had the smallest bathroom I had ever seen. The toilet was right up against 2 walls and the shower was no bigger that 2 feet square (less than a metre). We liked the staff, though but would recommend another hotel closer to the town centre if you plan to be there for more than a night.
