Just returned from pre-season week in Elounda, Crete. Beautifully quiet. Only a few restaurants open - thankfully discovered Megaro and ate their several times during the week. Fresh fish sold by weight and cooked to your specification. Wonderful warm welcome and superb Cretan hospitality meant that we were lavished with much more food/drink than we paid for. Celebrated my birthday (our 3rd meal) and was made a fuss of. Highly recommended. Delicious food and made to feel very welcome, as were all the other diners. No wonder it's very popular.
