2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2010

We had a room near the large pool.

The rooms are decent and clean, the cleaning staff is very polite.

The food in the hotell resturant is a bit expensive and the quality is a bit poor, but it is "decent"

It is a 5 min walk to the shops/beach.

The main problem is that is is not possible for adults to swim in the pool and relax, there is too much noise and children "splaching around".

So: if you have children from the age og 4 and older it is perfect. Single coupples: STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!

Dear guest,

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We are very pleased you liked our accommodation and that you found our service staff professional and polite.

We also thank you for appreciating that our hotel is a highly suitable choice for families with children. We are indeed a family oriented resort and we are specifically marketed as such. There is a wide range of facilities and activities on offer to entertain the children and the whole family, including 3 swimming pools, playground, children's animation team, table tennis, electronic games and more. We understand that you would have preferred a quieter time, however the truth is that August is the busiest time of the year in terms of tourist activity in Greece, with the highest number of tourist arrivals. It does therefore tend to become busy everywhere.

We would like to welcome you back to our hotel in the future, perhaps at a quieter time of the year, in order for you to fully enjoy our tranquil environment and facilities. Your feedback is valuable, as it helps us to keep improving our services and procedures.

Thank you

I didn't like the place because the pool was always full so it was hard to find any free sunbeds. Also there were tons of mosquitos. If you wanna get to the main street, you have to walk around 1km, and if you wanna get to the real "shopping" street, its a rough 2-3km walk. The computers cost extra, so did air conditioning too. I didn't use them and the nights were really hot! Air conditioning wouldve been almost 10euros/day. To be honest I did not enjoy my stay on the hotel.

Positive thing is that there was a mini-market with reasonable prices but I'd still rather stay on some better hotel.

Our family had 2 children and 2 adults, children were 5 and 8. The children didn't enjoy it either because for most of the time the playgrounds and pool were full so they really didn't have enough time to spend there.

Dear guest,

Thank you for your review, although there seems to be some sort of confusion or mistake. From the information you supply, it appears that our hotel may not have been the one you stayed in during you trip.

Firstly, we operate from mid-spring to late-autumn, the rest of the year we are closed. The hotel's distance to the main road is not 1km, but just 200 meters. Furthermore, we work exclusively with the Scandinavian market. Thus, all our guest arrivals originate specifically from the Scandinavian countries.

We hope we have helped to clarify the misunderstanding.

Thank you,

A beautiful hotel and amazing garden! Apartments were clean and basic. Good pools and a peaceful area arounf the hotel.

There are a lot of families with children - so it's not the most quiet place. Other than I can truly recommed it.

There is not really anything in Agia Marina, but Chania is very close!

Stayed in 2 bedroom apartment for a week. The room was very average, but surroundings were great. It´s a very quiet place in nighttime. No disturbing traffic or anything. But don´t leave windows open during night, or you migth make friends with mosquitos. Air condition was 7 € per day, safetybox 15 € per week. There is a small minimarket at the hotel and couple bit bigger in a walking distance. Hotels restaurant offers good food and staff is very friendly. Beach is just couple hundreds of meters away. Agia Marina has only few small tourist shops. So if you want to go shoppping, take a bus (1,5€) or a taxi (15€) to Chania.
