“Great location very friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013 via mobile

Stayed two nights at Villa Venezia after a week long trip driving around Crete. Was a fantastic spot, right on the harbour with a great view. Chania is a great little city, it was really nice to spend a couple of days just wandering around the old town, which was a nice way to relax after a week of driving. The room was comfortable, had all the necessary amenities and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would certainly recommend.

We love the apartment with its fantastic view.
We cherish the hours we spend reading or daydreaming in the balcony.
The apartment has Its authenticity and character . We find it charming ,clean, spacious and well taken care of by Natasha, who is so friendly and helpful.
Dimitris ,the owner, is extremely nice , his hospitality is exceptional !! We feel lucky to have met him and his wife. Thanks to them our vacation is more than just a vacation...
Ofra

Room Tip: In spring time we enjoy very much the apartment with the view of the harbor.

This hotel, although old is clean and centrally situated. It is right on the harbour in the old town and the view from the room is fabulous. Nadi (the owner) was very helpful with advice on restaurants and places to visit. We took the Chania bus tour which does give you an idea of some of Chania's history and size of the city.

There can be a bit of noise from the promenade in the early hours of the morning but not enough to disrupt your sleep.
There is no kettle provided in the room to make tea or coffee which was a bit disappointing.

Room Tip: Get a room at the front facing the sea for a fantastic view.

Very uncomfortable. Smelly and noisy. It was cheap but in Greece we'd stayed in similar priced places that were more comfy. The owner/manager hounded us and almost stalked us in a play to be helpful? Wouldn't stay there again. Would definitely return to Crete though!

Lovely simple hotel overlooking the old harbour in Charnia, Crete. No frills so do not expect luxury but what you will get is a very attentive proprietress in Nadi and superb value for money. Easy access to all the sights of the old town. Would certainly go again....

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the old harbour may appeal for their view but noise can be a problem. Room ove...

Coming in by plane late, we spent one night in Chania before leaving for Matala the next day. The hotel is right on the harbour in the middle of the curve.
We had room with seaview and in spite of all the restaurants below, it was not noisy. Lots of hot water and good waterpressure in the shower. The rooms are a bit small though.

Very friendly staff who met us outside since the entrance was through the restaurants below and a bit hard to see. You must walk along the harbour since the harbour is pedestrian area.
Breakfast discount at Restaurant Gallini next door as guest of the hotel. Very good.

Room Tip: The seaview is abolutely worth the extra cost.

We've already spent two wonderful vacations in Chania, staying at the friendly Villa Venezia. We always look for simplicity and cleanliness, which is exactly what Villa Venezia provides. With clean rooms overlooking the beautiful sea, the hospitality of Nadi and fair prices, you can't do better. Good breakfast deal with nearby Gallini means you always have a great start to your day (usually around noon, if not later...)

Room Tip: Ask for the bigger room (has a bedroom and a living room) for a small extra fee
