We stayed at the Renieris hotel for two nights in October. The hotel was a little difficult to find at first but after a few wrong turns, we managed to locate it. Would have been much easier in the daytime. We got excellent service when we checked in. We were provided with lots of information and every question we had was answered. The clerk also gave us a map of Chania, highlighting places we should go and how to get there. Great service.

The room was basic but clean. There was no TV, which is no big deal during the day, because we weren't there. But it's nice to have something to watch at night when you're winding down before bed. The balcony off the room was huge and had a great view over the water.

Breakfast was pretty good. It was just a basic choice but more than good enough for the price. The fresh bread was delicious.

The location of the hotel is very secluded so there is very little noise from outside. However, the walls are pretty thin so you hear a lot of noise from inside the hotel. Luckily for us, the hotel was not very full at the time of our stay so it wasn't too bad but I would imagine it can get pretty noisy during high season. The doors to the room are the kind that tend to slam when you go in and out so when I was trying to get to sleep I kept hearing bangs. If you are a very light sleeper, it might be a good idea to bring earplugs. My boyfriend, however, is a deep sleeper and he didn't hear anything at all! It's a pretty minor problem but thought I'd mention it anyway.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It might not be great for very long stays but definitely a great value for short stays. We only paid 30 euros a night with breakfast and parking included! Can't beat it. And go have dinner at Maria's at the bottom of the hill if you go there. They have great food.

We would like to thank all our guests for choosing our hotel and for the feedback. We always take into account your suggestions and comments and hope to provide even better services and facilities for your next stay.
We therefore feel that we should inform all our future guests that already we done some changes for the new season regarding the problem that we had with the doors(tend to slang-soundproof) and also we have added 20 inch Lcd TVs with satellite channels.
Our aim is to provide service higher than our category (2 stars) and being good value at the same time.

Yours Sincerely,
Giorgos Renieris

Wanted to reiterate what others have already said about the Renieris and how much we enjoyed our 3 night stay in Crete. Georgios was even so helpful to notice that one of our car tires was low (picked up a nail on our travels). We may have gone on without realizing it. The hotel is extremely clean with large rooms, a great view and warm hospitality. Great value for your money.

My wife and I stayed at the Renieris for the first 2 weeks in September this year (Sorry Giorgios, I promised to put my review on straightaway) The location is superb, the rooms airy and comfortable and kept spotlessly clean by Stella. Nothing is too much trouble for the Renieris family and we would wholeheartedly recommend the hotel to anyone. While we were there, we shared the place with guests from all over the world and they all seemed to be having a great time.

Kato Stalos is a lovely resort, well-developed, but still feels Greek. We would go back to the resort/hotel tomorrow, it was so good. The best holiday we've had for some time.

Thanks to the whole Renieris family for a wonderful stay.

It is the first time I have used trip advisor reviews to choose a hotel and since I was travelling on my own, I must admit I was a bit anxious about making a selection. However, my fears were unfounded as the reviews on Renieris Hotel were true to form and the hotel itself lived up to my expectations. It is a family run hotel, which is clean, friendly and efficient. It is the ideal base for travelling around the island and as a lone traveller I felt safe and secure within the hotel and surrounding area. The hotel was filled with people of mixed nationalities, which was a good thing, Guests were also mainly people who were interested in seeing the island, so plenty of space around the pool and no saving of sunbeds with towels! The 96 steps down to the beach and resort were perfectly manageable for the average healthy person and were more than compensated by the spectacular views from the hotel. The family owners made every effort to make my stay pleasant, relaxed and comfortable and were happy to help at most times of the day.

I would definitely recommend ths hotel to friends and family and would be happy to return there without hesitation. Excellent value for money!

If i should wright all the good things about this Hotel I would never
finish. It's placed perfect, near the Water, shopping, good restaurants, transport and the view from the hotel I something you never see like anywere.

The standard of the hotel is in top, it's clean and the Rooms has all the things you need. The breakfast is incl. in the price. The Family is glad and openharded. I have been all over the world but never seen anything like it and i have never felt me more welcome.
I'l be back soon.

Don't miss this place if you come to Crete
