My husband and I spent 5 wonderful nights in the honeymoon suite. This boutique hotel more then exceeded our expectations!
The first night we arrived SOOOO late, I was concerned that there wouldn't be anyone there because we didn't get into Chania until 1am, but the owner and his wife were waiting for us and even brought our bags from the car all the way to the hotel (not that is was overly far, but it was such a nice welcome after our VERY long day of travel) they were so very nice despite waiting hours for us, which was such an amazing feeling.
We had the honeymoon suite which was a beautiful little room. They had 2 bottles of wine waiting for us, which we enjoyed while lounging on our private terrace.
The next morning we met the famous Antonia... and she lives up to her reputation. She is the most charming, friendly hostess I have ever met. She was so funny too, we talked a lot with her and she even taught us some Greek words. CALMARA (spelled?? but it means hello... see Antonia I remebered :) ) She was so great at giving us directions to beaches and around the city, She even directed us to this great restaurant Milio that was quite literally in the middle of nowhere... but SOOOO worth the drive, they served tradition Greek food and after 14 days in Greece was 100% the best meal we had. We were so happy she suggested it. Many nights we would come back from a long day of site seeing and shopping and say to each other we have to ask Antonia about that tomorrow morning.. she was our go to girl, we loved it! One of the nicest touches was on our day of departure ( booo) we had to leave the hotel at 7am in order to make it to the airport in time for our flight. Antonia prepared a wonderful breakfast for us to have in the morning which she left in our fridge. It was time out of her day to prepare yet another meal and yet she did it anyways... it truly just took the already amazing trip to another level.
We felt at home here and that is a hard feet to do when you have been traveling for so long.
We hope to come back one day... we LOVED our stay at Casa Leone

This is one of the cutest hotel I've ever lived in.

The room was simply phenomenal.

The view outside was Gorgeous.

The receptionist was very helpful.

The breakfast was amazing.

A hotel that makes you feel at home and yet is so professional.

One will never sense commercialism.

Beautiful room. Great view. Excellent service from crazy "Antonia' and Maria. Loved everything about it including the mystical trip from the taxi to the hotel. Would and will stay there again.

Casa Leone is more an elaborate bed and breakfast; very personal attention, but no intrusiveness. The location is the best in Chania - we had planned to rent a car and see some other nearby places but decided against it when we realized what an ideal location we were staying in.
We stayed in the larger honeymoon suite for 2 nights, the 3rd we had to move to smaller room. This was only due to availability when I booked months ahead. It wasn't troublesome, our belongings were seamlessly moved for us. Both rooms were beautiful and impeccably clean. The private patio of the larger suite is wonderful - large and with a view of the harbor and sea with nothing in front of you!
Breakfast was a special part of the day, every day something different and fresh and wonderful, while looking out at the the harbor. The beach is a short walk away, so many wonderful restaurants nearby and the best of all was our hostess Antonia who made us feel right at home and was so helpful with any questions we had.
Our next visit to Chania would find us right back at the Casa Leone!

I can't really add anything that hasn't already been said before. This is a truly wonderful little hotel and you are made to feel that you a special guest or family. They can't do enough for you and it's the little things that sets this place apart. We stayed in the honeymoon suite with it's large balcony overlooking the harbour, what a treat! Thanks to Nikos, Antonia and Maria for making our stay so enjoyable. See you next time!!
