Charming hotel right on the harbor. Views from the terraces were gorgeous. Room was uniquely appointed. Breakfast was delicious, and staff worked hard to make sure all needs we're met. Would definitely stay there again.

We had such a nice stay here! The balcony view is spectacular. The manager and his son were so helpful with restaurant recommendations and they helped immensely with our rental car situation. We wish we could just stay here and live forever in Chania!

We are just coming to the end of a four night stay in this great little boutique hotel.
Everything has been near perfect. The setting is outstanding, looking across the beautiful Venetian Harbour in Chania old town.
The hotel is a sixteenth century Venetian Villa which has been lovingly restored and fitted out.
Our room (there are only five) was up some stairs from the reception area and is the only one with a private terrace (the others have their own balconies) looking right out across the harbour and the old lighthouse. This room costs a bit more than the other rooms and well worth it, but none are expensive.
Breakfasts are great - home-made Cretan pastries, boiled eggs, Greek yoghurt with fruit and meusli, home made jams and interesting breads and lots of fruit. A great start to the day.
The staff are quite brilliant and make you feel so welcome and at home, and are great for information and advice for restaurants and places to visit. Maria in particular has all the warmth and friendliness expected of Cretans.
We simply can't fault this place on any parameter. Would love to return one day.
One thing to note - there is no access right up to the hotel by car. It is best to get to the shore end of Theotokopoulo St and call the hotel. Someone will come and take you to the hotel and advise re parking, which is not usually easy in Chandia old town.

This little boutique hotel is run by a small team of very caring people. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and furnished with antiques. Maria couldn't do enough for us, creating shade on our balcony, so we could have breakfast up there - and when we left, she helped us to carry our luggage all the way to our car (parked about 10 mins away). The hotel is in a super spot, in the fascinating little lanes in the old harbour.

It's a lovely secluded and very interesting setting for this little jewel of a hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed in the honeymoon suite, on the top floor, with magnificent views of the harbour. We even...

Lovely old building full of antiques and paintings, staffed by lovely people, and with a stunning view of the harbour area. Breakfast was a delight, staring at the view framed by an ancient window.
Quite expensive but you have to treat yourself from time to time - and it was worth it.
Remember that this is the centre of Chania's Old Town - a beautiful place to wander around but not a peaceful place at night. If you want total peace and quiet then go somewhere else. But you'll be sorry to miss the experience.

Room Tip: Pay a little more fro a balcony/sea view room. The balconies are tiny but big enough to sit with a g...

Beautiful, charming boutique hotel, with a lot of character and antique furnishings. My husband and I stayed in the upstairs room for 4 nights. It has a huge private balcony that overlooks Chania harbor. The location of the hotel is fantastic. Antonia and Maria go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. One night we were having wine on the common balcony and Maria brought us a complimentary hor d'oeuvres plate. Another time she brought us coffee. The owners are also great, though it takes the husband a little time to warm up to you! The breakfasts were amazing. Beautifully presented and excellent homemade pastries. The bed in our room was very comfortable and there were lots of pillows, though I would have preferred them to be a little softer. The linens were first rate. When you first go into your room the towels are arranged like swans and placed on the bed. Nice touch! The shower was good, great water pressure. The only negatives were the spotty wifi in our top floor room. At times we had to go downstairs to get service. Also,it would have been nice to have sun chaises and an umbrella on our huge deck right outside our bedroom. Still, this was a memorable place to stay and I highly recommend it.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel; the staff were attentive and kind but not fussy. The room was lovely and the views across the harbour were magical. We were treated to afternoon tea on the balcony at no extra cost and the atmosphere was perfect.

Room Tip: Our room was not noisy, but I imagine it could be in high season. We used the main balcony as ours.
