Small boutique hotel with period rooms and furniture, spectacular views and kind staff. Breakfast served in a room overlooking the harbor; all tasty with lots to choose from though the hotel has no real kitchen. Our room, number 5, was up a spiral staircase( all others off the main central room)
We had a huge bed, wonderful furniture, a small fridge and best of all a totally private terrace with a table, chairs and 2 sun beds with an umbrella. At any time of day....gorgeous sunrise over the harbor, busy lunchtime or sunset ( no direct view but great light nonetheless !) .....it was perfect to sit, have a drink and watch the world go by.
We did day trips in our hire car and found multiple tours to different beaches within a few hours drive with spectacular mountain scenery on the way.
You do have to walk from where the taxi leaves you as cars are not allowed in the old city but we just asked and were pointed in the right direction by a man sitting outside his house drinking coffee! It is not a long walk and well worth it for the gem that awaits you.
